Excavation Site Alpha by petra_the_kat
Match up block edges and get your center of mass as deep as possible. World of Goo meets dominoes!

- Drag blocks off the conveyor belt and onto your structure. Get your center of mass as low as you can with 100 blocks.
- Blocks with matching edges stick to each other.
- Scaffolding is lighter than Plates and affects your center of mass less.
- Blocks wear out and break over time. You can damage scaffolding by clicking on it.
- Free-floating blocks will fall off your structure, but you can catch them with blocks below...
- You can embed new anchor points in the wall, but only if you already have a block adjacent for it to match with.
- If you build a whole line of blocks across the chasm, they will wear out much slower.
Try and beat my high score of 57!

This really feels like it could benefit from some short term goals. Like completing puzzles based around the block building. The sandbox mode is nice, but it feels a bit aimless.
I think you've got a really solid idea here. I'd love to see it developed more!
It's really well done, the mechanic is super interesting. It took me a while to figure out what I needed to do. I wish it were more clear from the start. Also it was hard at first to see what can connect with what; the colors are a bit too muted. So it's a tough barrier of entry. And it was tough getting the blocks I wanted. Really challenging game, at least to me 😋. I'm curious to see how deep I can go if I train a bit more. Really interesting and well done game.
Nice programming language choice! :)
