Great game! I really loved the shooting. It felt very satisfying to just shoot it even at a wall :). Nicely done atmosphere as well. I felt like I was actually in some old dark bunker trying to find my way through. I also liked the camera perspective it was set at. Are the levels randomly generated? As I got further down into the bunker the rooms seemed to have gotten a little more repetitive. I ended up at around level 11 before I stopped. Overall, I enjoyed it. Great work and cheers!

@lehaine Thank you so much for the kind words. The bunker is in fact randomly generated, but there is of course only a finite amount of room layouts to choose from. Level 11 is deep, awesome!

Pretty cool. Just a bit too blurry I would say and the character is not fitting the style of the environment. Overal solid entry. ;-)

Not a lot to add. Graphics are amazing, the sound desingn fits the game and everything feels smooth. But I think I found a bug (or a feature?) at level 7 or 8:
![Bug.JPG](///raw/aaa/f2/z/40632.jpg)

I can still shoot, but the screen is black and I can't move. Anyway, well done!

@kevin-meissner Thank you! Yes, I agree. The chars and props don't quite fit. On Account of time _suddenly_ running out we left it that way xD

@acdia Thank you for playing as well! I only know of an issue that you will keep shooting when running into a door while still shooting. But this one is new. Good find :D

I enjoyed your game but as people above said it gets quickly repetitive. I think some kind of shop with upgrades or more types of enemies(maybe boss fight?) would help. But I think that's a good foundation for more advanced game, I also enjoyed graphics and sound - it really helped creating atmosphere of exploring some old bunker!

I love the visuals in this game! Good foundation for a game here. I only wished that there was maybe a map of sorts to give guidance to the player. Well done!

Что будет, если дать джедайский меч пулеметчику? Получится пулеметчик, который стреляет джедайскими мечами!
Забавная игра, спасибо! ^_^

Looks and feels great, a lot of good polish on the shooting, which was great since that's the primary activity in the game. The camera perspective made it much more difficult to see south than north, and the very strong depth of field also didn't help, making it possible to almost run face-first into enemies without seeing them. Perhaps centering the camera more south of the player would help. I got stuck in a wall around level 5 maybe.

Oh, the idea so good and the graphics set the tone to be so much something more! If only it was not hampered what could've made it so much more playable.

All the things I'm gonna say are pretty much aspects that could help the gameplay by simple adjustments of the interface.
* First, it's obvious: The camera is janky. I am aware that it's trying to snap to the player, not following it. This also causes the camera to glitch out in position trying to keep up with the player, which is inducing nausea.
* The camera is zoomed in too near. Even though it does help the sense of being alone here, it does not contribute to what you want, a shooter. If this was some resident evil sort of thing with limited ammo, it might help.
* Because it's too near the blur does not help with conveying of information here.
* The perspective is definitely favoring north, but that can be easily solved with zoom.
* Oh, a bug: The camera got stuck at Level 5 for me, which made the gameplay unplayable from that point onwards.
* The lack of enemies does make it boring.
* You're designing for two different things in terms of game design here...
* The rapid fire favors being gung-ho... which you need a lot of enemies for.
* However enemies are bulky and sparse, which encourages being careful.

I'm not gonna lie if I said the gameplay is not satisfying, that is for sure. However, how the game is presented and how it's laid out kinda goes against that. It definitely lacks direction since you're aiming for two different things. If you want to continue with this, the flashlight could be a powerful tool in conveying information.

Thanks y'all for all the great comments and for playing our game ... and dealing with the bugs :D

Special thanks to @fiakaiera for that exceedingly in-depth feedback. I very much appreciate you taking the time to think about our project and writing up your thoughts in such detail. Should we have the possibility to work some more on the game we will absolutely take your feedback in :)

Interesting and fun! I was most impressed at the graphics of the level and the level generation itself. There was quite a variety of different room layouts and they all fit together seamlessly. Did you make all the level models n stuff? Cuz its dope!

The gameplay itself is quite fun, the shooting is satisfying and im always a big fan of bloom. I think there should have been more enemies in general as sometimes it felt like I maybe came across 1/2 per level.

I think some of the later levels were slightly too expansive and sprawling for the amount of content in them, e.g. on level 6-7 it felt like I was walking for minutes without seeing much other than an enemy every so often - but the atmosphere was great and the aesthetics are good so I didn't mind haha. I was also a big fan of the radial health bars.

The tilt-shift / blur effect was a bit too much for me personally, I think with the foreground pipes layered on top with the blur and zoomed in camera, it gave me a bit of a headache. But the post processing and aesthetic in general looked good!

The line that shows you the path to the exit after kills took me to a dead-end on level 7, possibly a bug?

All in all I see the potential for an atmospheric shooter with beautiful layouts, it just needs a bit of extra work I think! Good job on the submission :)

Excellent visuals and aesthetic. I really liked the polish of the laser shots pinging against the walls. Gameplay wise I wish I could strafe enemy shots a bit easier. Perhaps if the rooms were a little bit bigger or the camera was pulled back further, or maybe if the enemies shot a little bit slower or less accurately. Great job!

Very nice looking game, though a bit too dark, I think. The protagonist could have had some lighting on it so it became more visible. I also felt like I got a bit stuck on pillars and the like a bit too easy, so if corners had been a bit rounded or friction less, it might have felt more fluid. I only got to level three, but that's more a testament to my skills than anythin else. Overall though, it was fun trying it out.

Extremely well looking game and very fun gameplay! The only actual con i can find is the really strong DOF which is kinda meh on my taste. It would be 5/5 everything if i could just tone it down a bit but overall a great game! GJ!

Sweet! This game has great visuals! Only issue I had was being unable to see Björn. I mean, if you make a character wearing a WWI style helmet and gasmask carrying a lasergun, you better show him off! ;)

Well done you guys!

Cool game. Love the subtle UI with the health bear surrounding the player/ennemies. The atmosphere is cool and I like the shooting mechanics a lot. I think that it would be great to be able to move the camera around the player a little, it would help when aiming at ennemies which quite often get outside of the fov. I can't seem to get to lvl 3 though I always end up with a dark screen only seeing the player's health and being able to shoot. Would love to go further in the game. Great game, cheers!

Very strong submission - very nice atmosphere and consistent, nice visuals. Game mechanics are satisfying as well.

As others before me suggested, I think the main thing to point out is a bit of a lack of variety. Adding collectable items, different weapons etc. to the game would be great.

Some more background sounds or music would also be nice!

Cool visuals for the game, It might just be me and my laptops onboard processor, but i think the motion blur effect was a little too much for me.

Dig the aesthetics here, but man that depth of field is too intense lol. Made it pretty hard to see stuff at the top and bottom of the screen. Perhaps pulling the camera back a bit would also help with this. Also really like the world-space radial health bars.

The ambient audio fit nicely and the gun sfx were nice and punchy. Would be cool if there was more variety (maybe changing the music as you go deeper?) but I totally get it since it's a jam game.

Not sure if it's a bug or a feature, but it seemed like sometimes I killed an enemy and it would give me a line towards the exit. I kinda like it, so if it's not intentional, I'd say keep it. :stuck_out_tongue: If it is intentional: cool!

I appreciate having the difficulty ramp up as you go deeper, but would have been cooler if there was some additional motivation for continuing to play other than just "going deeper" (like upgrades and/or collectibles).

Overall, a really nice submission though!

Thanks for the feedbacks y'all!

@guitarbro yes the white line is intentional. The dungeons, should you get far enough without encountering a show stopping bug, would become crazy large and it wasn't really fun at that point running through, searching for the exit, without any major enemy encounters, as it were. I agree on the collectibles/upgrades. It would really have been nice. Shame we couldn't make it in time :c

@masterkrepta There was no motion blur. Ima assume you mean the blur on the bottom and top edge of the screen. Which was really too much. There is a post jam build that has this (and other visibility issues) addressed.
