They Call Us Monsters by TakeNapEveryday
A short (less than 5 minutes) narrative point-and-click adventure about being a monster in a fantasy game world.
Controls/how to play:
Use your mouse.
Click somewhere on the screen to walk in that direction.
Click on an object to walk to it.
Click an object when you are standing next to it to interact or examine it.
Press Alt+Enter to switch between fullscreen and windowed mode. (Windows)
Press Escape to return to title/quit. (Windows)
Because I ran out of time, there is no sound or music. While the game gets its point across, I'd like to flesh it out in a post-compo version.
Tools used: Game Maker Studio, XBRZPXL, GIMP 2.
I also used a few scripts from GMLscripts.com.
Update: Web port added. The display issues worked on for the web port also benefited the Windows version, which will now allow you to resize the game window or switch to fullscreen (Alt+Enter) without having the on-screen text being cut off.
