Two hours ago, Detective Ishani Deeper was sunning herself on the deck of the Sea Maiden, having won an all-expenses paid cruise in a competition she didn't remember entering. Now, she's at residence of the most prominent family in Pleasantville, investigating a murder and the disappearance of her partner, Jacob Deeper (no relation).

Explore a procedurally generated house, gather evidence and confront the suspects in this mystery adventure roguelike!

Press 'M' to reload the house if you wind up in an impossible, non-Euclidean basement.

I loved it! It was so much fun, and to think that the houses were (at least seemed to be) procedurally generated, it's just amazing, especially considering the time restraints. There was one game-breaking bug that I came across, which is when I was looking around in the basement, I was wondering if I could go back upstairs to gather more evidence. This caused me to fall off the map, essentially soft-locking me from progressing any further. I hope that you find success with this game!

@joshuc Sorry to hear you fell off the stairs! Pressing M should reload the basement while keeping your progress if it ever happens again :smile:

Really nice game! I love the graphic style.

After entering the second part, you should put a door if the player try to go back up the stairs as I felt into an infinite dark void (or put a way to go back to starting point). Also, when finding a proof, I think putting a different dialog line if you have already talked to the culprit would be a nice small addition (to avoid "I wonder who might have done that" while you already know what's happening, just lacking proofs).

With that said, nice work with the procedural generation and the story, I really enjoyed plyaing this

Wow! This was such a good game for such little time. The game looked great and sounded good. The story was funny, and the top down 3d felt great. Great job!

Good overall theme! It has a unique gameplay concept and is quite polished for such a short time. Only minor suggestion would be that some added sounds would have realy made it brilliant! Great job :)

Lovely game - nice compact narrative to knock out in the available time. Nice to think that no-one else explored the same house that I did.

Would have been nice if a few more of the interactable things provided clues / objects. It was also slightly odd that there was no way to talk to some of the people.

Nice play on the theme too.
