Overdrilled.PNG

A drill management game inspired by Overcooked's task saturation gameplay.

Gameplay loop

The objective is to collect as much Gold and Diamonds as possible before your drill rig overheats.

How to play

When standing near the control panel, the interact button will toggle controls between the player and the drill.

Interact with a pile of ore on the conveyor belt to pick it up. Depositing the ore into the correct bin will happen automatically when you move close enough.

You can not interact with anything while ore is in the players hands.

Controls

Movement --> W,A,S,D or Left joystick

Interaction/Pick-up --> E, or South button on joystick (A or X)

Nice interpretation of theme dude.
I like the game's aesthetics as all the prop are well placed.
The drill thing could have a little better graphics and animations, as all the other graphics are very nice.
Good game overall.

I liked that game is based on how well you can space your attention. Do you need water right now or you need to save this precious gold and diamonds that will drop into trash can at any second. Baseline concept of gameplay is splendid!

Fun and Challenging!! really makes you work for your resources and how to choose between was is important and what isn't. Keen to see where this can go.

I really like the concept here! I like the idea of maintaining this drill and keeping everything moving. I think the art was a bit rough due to the lack of animations on things. The lack of music or sounds made it less interesting and satisfyingly. Although, the gameplay all worked alright and was cool for awhile. I think moving the drill felt pointless because you ran into pockets as much as you need to anyways, and it takes so long it is not worth it usually. Overall this entry wasn't to bad.

It was very fun to balance the atention between drilling, getting the resources and keeping the temperature low. This is a concept that could be expanded nicely! Music and sound effects, maybe multiplayer, both coop and head to head would be fun

Awesome concept, I like the indirect control of it. Kind of like a mining overcooked. Could be fun with more players

I like the simultaneous puzzles. The graphics are nice and clean, easy to identify the different parts/resources.

Lovely little resource management game, just needs some upbeat anxiety-inducing lab tunes to go with the resource juggling chaos.
