The graphics in my mind are the most jarring. The colors do not blend very well together. Try using a color palette to make sure your colors work together.\r<br\/>\r<br\/>Other than that I think one thing that would help future games is to make it more obvious what is going on. I wasn't quite sure what was happening when just reading it and I didn't know what to do.\r<br\/>\r<br\/>With a bit more time and work this could turn into a nice game though."},{"author_name":"Quadnozzle","author_uid":"57715","time":"Aug 25, 2015 @ 11:49am","epoch":1440503040,"text":"I liked the conversations with the slimes, very good humor! I would have liked to have been able to fight with my fellow slimes against the humans, even if it would have been a futile fight. The tiles might have been able to blend a little more with each other, but thats not a big deal. I was teleported to the other side of the game boundary though, that was fun to explore :D \r<br\/>\r<br\/>Overall, I see the direction you were headed in, and enjoyed conversing with the slimes!"},{"author_name":"Mothdan","author_uid":"56254","time":"Aug 28, 2015 @ 6:41pm","epoch":1440786960,"text":"High scores from me, this was fun! I enjoyed throwing slime at the other slime NPCs and watching their reaction, until I triggered the human invaders and they slaughtered everyone wounded knee style, as you mention in the description.\r<br\/>\r<br\/>Not to spoil what happens next but I did start fighting with the other slimes and eventually died (probably by bumping into the guarding human too many times). I'm sure there's more to discover but after 2 deaths I gotta move on and review more games, good work!"},{"author_name":"OnlySlightly","author_uid":"1959","time":"Sep 10, 2015 @ 3:09am","epoch":1441854240,"text":"Cool idea, taking the slimes in JRPGs that players normally think nothing of when murdering. Giving them lives and personalities makes you feel even more awful for killing them. I like how well you captured the retro tile-based  jrpg style. Great job!"},{"author_name":"Divitos","author_uid":"9732","time":"Sep 10, 2015 @ 3:34am","epoch":1441855740,"text":"This is my favorite game I've seen out of the entire compo this time!"},{"author_name":"boardtobits","author_uid":"57679","time":"Sep 10, 2015 @ 4:04am","epoch":1441857540,"text":"I liked the story, and the take on humans as foreign beings you couldn't understand. In the game, you play as a resilient little slime who has just recovered from a terrible fall, when a group of humans come into your village near the waterfall and slaughters everyone but you. Your fate, it seems, is to take orders and to become their personal fighter, but perhaps you have other (non implemented) plans. The game still has a number of bugs, and the only way to get to the credits screen is to let yourself be killed. But if you do get to the credits screen you can then type the last character on the title screen to get a bit of a peek at the layers of the game as planned (you'll hear a sound if you got it).\r\n\r\nControls for the game are generally some form of keyboard movement controls (arrows, wasd, ijkl, and qzsd are in there), and you have an attack on left or right mouse click (there's also the spacebar, but it works really differently from clicking). Escape will always quit the game.","title":"Around the Waterfall"}
