The leaderboard dared me to play more and more...
It's also quite fun to play, albeit a bit frustrating too. I felt like there were situations where I couldn't possibly have dodged, but maybe that's just my low skill level. I also found myself keeping space pressed all the time and just let it go quickly to dodge, it just felt like I could get farther with this approach, so I'd suggest thinking about inverting the controls maybe.
I think it would help a lot if there were three shades of color - darker, normal, and lighter - to show when an asteroid is under me (I can go over it), at my level (I will collide with it and get hurt), or above me (I can go under it). Once I found out that I could go under some, I had trouble knowing when was ok or when I would just crash; I think having separate shades of color would help with that. Also, it would be nice if all the asteroids spawned far enough around the circle from me that I had time to notice them before they got me.
I picked blue, and my high score was 130. Great work!
