EDIT : New best record : 1 257 m, but cmon, a dead end of 250m... And pls I DONT HIT THIS ***** WALL what is this hitbox ???
Pros:
- Game is very difficult, yet rewarding,
- Wonderful, calm audio sound and backgroung music. Felt like depths of Europa's ocean!
- Graphic wise very simple, yet beautiful with the sonar effect
- Damn the gameplay is actually addicting
Cons:
- No room for error, even if the Hitboxes don't like you. I felt like i was still few dozen centimeters away from the rock but I crashed nontheless,
- Definitely a gamepad only game if you wanna move with the engines mechanics. On keyboard it felt really confusing for couple of tries
- Not really a Con per se but... is there any end to the game?
Overall a very polished game, lacking a bit of adjustment to difficulty. Great Job!
This was fun and satisfying, and definitely quite an innovative idea (and unique in what ive seen in the jam so far). Graphics were pretty good, and the sound / mood was great.
Good job! I'd have loved to try it with a gamepad to get the proper experience :frowning2:
The ship's hitbox is perfect, but I really could be wrong with the environment hitbox, sorry.
The game has no end, you will go deeper and deeper as you can ... or higher and higher, we did not limit the player.
But we liked the mood and want to add tasks if we have time later
Really a great job, well done!
but I like this game , graphic is great
Is the white arrow pointing at anything or is it just showing the path you should take?
Also I kinda feel like the movement should be relative to the subs rotation, but I'm not sure.
I really like the concept of this game, it could be a great challenge. Unfortunately the control are really hard, well, at least without a good playground to try them properly first.
I believe your controls are actually good, but the level always start with very small corridor where your sub has to squeeze through. An experience player can probably pass them super easily but someone that never played the game won't be able to.
I think if you had a starting area with larger corridor, less obstacles, and slowly increased the difficulty, this game could be really rewarding for the player.
Good job!
