Dating and Boxing by Phoenix Fireflower

Welcome to Dating & Boxing, where you try to get deeper and deeper into a relationship... by engaging in boxing matches against your date! Oh, and there is also the standard visual novel stuff.
The game is divided between dating segments and boxing segments.

The boxing segments require some explanation:
W / Up arrow: Throw a high punch
S / Down arrow: Throw a low punch
A & D / Left & Right arrow: Dodge
Hit your opponent on the vulnerable parts of their body. Dodge your opponent's attacks or intercept them with a punch of your own.
Finally, be careful with your words. Picking the wrong dialogue options will only get you deeper and deeper into trouble...
Update: Fixed a bug that allowed players to win the boxing segments by spamming low punches. This should now no longer be a viable strategy after the first fight.

I like the mix of punch-out and a dating sim, two genres that you would think to be incompatible. But when you think about it punch-out is really, the a "dating sim" sped up, where a "well-timed" correct response does damage to the opponent (gets you points).
The graphics are great, they look like the original Punch-out game (How did you draft all those poses in the time you did?)
Not sure if there are multiple endings, but I think we are going to the movies together tomorrow. Did I win?
I really liked the boxing segments although repeatedly spamming attacks seemed to work well. The change between the visual novel and the boxing matches made me chuckle.
Visual Novel Segment's were entertaining. For the boxing segments though, spamming a low punch would basically guarantee a win.
It was really satisfying to win the bonus match, and once I got the hang of it the punching and dodging felt quite fluid. I enjoyed the art direction too, great work!
The boxing worked surprisingly well, although there were a few attacks that seemed to always hit no matter when I dodged. That you managed to include different hit zones, dodges and counters is heckin' amazing, especially when it was all so well telegraphed. This is great! ^_^
