Welcome to Dating & Boxing, where you try to get deeper and deeper into a relationship... by engaging in boxing matches against your date! Oh, and there is also the standard visual novel stuff.

The game is divided between dating segments and boxing segments.

DNB1.gif

DNB2.gif

The boxing segments require some explanation:

W / Up arrow: Throw a high punch
S / Down arrow: Throw a low punch
A & D / Left & Right arrow: Dodge

Hit your opponent on the vulnerable parts of their body. Dodge your opponent's attacks or intercept them with a punch of your own.

Finally, be careful with your words. Picking the wrong dialogue options will only get you deeper and deeper into trouble...

Update: Fixed a bug that allowed players to win the boxing segments by spamming low punches. This should now no longer be a viable strategy after the first fight.

Really fun and funny game!

I like the mix of punch-out and a dating sim, two genres that you would think to be incompatible. But when you think about it punch-out is really, the a "dating sim" sped up, where a "well-timed" correct response does damage to the opponent (gets you points).

The graphics are great, they look like the original Punch-out game (How did you draft all those poses in the time you did?)

Not sure if there are multiple endings, but I think we are going to the movies together tomorrow. Did I win?

An unexpected, but effective combination! The punch-out mechanics are faithful, and the visual novel segments make for a funny backstory.

I'm not sure what I just played...

I really liked the boxing segments although repeatedly spamming attacks seemed to work well. The change between the visual novel and the boxing matches made me chuckle.

An unlikely combo.

Visual Novel Segment's were entertaining. For the boxing segments though, spamming a low punch would basically guarantee a win.

I can't believe this combination of themes works so well! Thankfully all those years of Punch-Out as a kid paid off, won the bonus fight too! Very well done, congrats on a great game!

The boxing game part was more fun than the dating part. I don't know the exact algorithm, but the AI of boxing was fun.

This was my favourite game so far, I loved it!!
It was really satisfying to win the bonus match, and once I got the hang of it the punching and dodging felt quite fluid. I enjoyed the art direction too, great work!

Really enjoyed it. The art was goofy, but in a charming way. And I liked the sound effects they were fun. The boxing was responsive, maybe a little easy, but I had fun so it doesn't really matter. Overall really cool game.

Very cute, well-written, and finely tuned for a difficult challenge!

I enjoyed it, the difficulty in the fights felt like it ramped up fairly and was a rewarding victory, and mixing it with a dating sim was a unique spin on the genre. Nice job :)

Really felt like playing Punchout again! The last fight was very challenging but with enough patience and TECHNIQUE, you can win! Congratulations on the game! :v: Now I have a date to go on

Amazing concept! :D
The boxing worked surprisingly well, although there were a few attacks that seemed to always hit no matter when I dodged. That you managed to include different hit zones, dodges and counters is heckin' amazing, especially when it was all so well telegraphed. This is great! ^_^

lol. Question! Does this really work? Just wondering if that is how you met your special someone or plan to. :P lol It's so silly and yet it works so well and the hand drawn-like graphics sells it even more. Also, this the long lost dating sim that Nintendo tried to put on arcades but had to settle for the boxing matches only due to budget constraints? :D

Fun idea! I enjoyed the concept and thought it was well implemented. At first I thought the boxing was too easy but it did ramp up a little. I think it is a good balance for a game jam game and wanting to get most people through the story. Nice job making a game in a weekend.

Quite the unique combo. Audio was a bit crackly for me (may just be me, didn't see any other comments to this). Got wrecked in the bonus round.

Pretty interesting and creative mix. The last fight was really hard for me, but I kept playing just to see what's at the end. Great game :)

Good thing I watched enough Summoning Salt videos to be able to take Wendy out. Overall this was a very fun game. Sometimes the fighting felt a bit rough where every blocked attack would have her retaliate. It can be a bit hard to tell when to stop punching so you don't get pummeled. Also if you just spam the dodge key your character will visually slide out of position. Never thought I'd play dating sim punch out, but I enjoyed it. Even beat the bonus round.

Great idea, and well executed! The first fight was super easy but by the end it was definitely challenging! Wendy is a cool character for sure! Did notice a couple positioning-based glitches in the boxing, but they didn't really affect anything. Great job!

I'm a fan of Punch-Out games, so this was a real treat. I like how you replicated a lot of the Punch-Out gameplay, such as how you can tell she's about to punch, getting stunned, etc. Sometimes it didn't feel exactly right, maybe due to an occasional lack of feedback when I missed a punch. But it was still pretty close. The story was funny and engaging. Well done!

This is great! I don't know how you managed to program basically 2 games in one. I enjoyed the retro aesthetic and the story. Nice job!

Weirdest take on the jam so far, but all in all an enjoyable game. I do wish the tale signs of her would be a bit more clear though. Give it a bit more polish and this would be a most excellent game.

Kind of a weird premise, but somehow you got me to buy into it! This is super impressive, especially for a Compo. It's hard to even find anything wrong with it.

Visit our website [jetbride.com](https://jetbride.com/swedish-brides/) Here you can buy a wife for great dates, many ages, different nationalities for any men! Religion is the principle purpose that Indonesian Muslim ladies seldom commit to long-term relationships with foreign men… And they're 87% of the entire inhabitants. They are female, obedient, caring, and know-how to please a man. The only draw back is just fewer Laos women can communicate in English. Also, their level of training is low, so don’t count on philosophical conversations.

Good evening. Guys, I need your opinion. Lately I've been very nervous before a date. Nerves just do not allow to think normally. And you can guess how such dates end. I can't think of anything to change the situation for the better. I hope that someone else had the same situation and you can share your experience. What helped you to cope with the fear and excitement before a date with a girl?

Hi. It is best to ask a girl out when she is in a good mood. Go up to her, say hello, ask how she is doing, and when she answers, ask her out. This is in my opinion the ideal option. Because it is simple and does not require any complicated preparation. But if this advice is not suitable for you, then there are other options. I advise you to read about them in this article https://finddate.org/confirm-date/ which perfectly describes all possible instructions and tips to successfully ask a girl out.
