I like the bullet-time obstacle dodging :)

Difficulty increases smartly, could be interesting to vary obstacles at one point & maybe add sound too. Cool game !

Thanks! @cheesepencil @owca @verygenuinecraze

@verygenuinecraze I wanted to have made one or two more obstacles and definitely add sound but I was too tired by the end to push through and do it  Specially the sound I think would have made the game a far better experience

Nice simple game. One of those ones where I'm finding myself still playing after I should have stopped :D

Good work.

The time window for dodging isn't very clear. I ended up clicking several times per obstacle (especially for rocks) and running out of stamina more quickly. Cool game anyway!

Good looking jump even if its a bit hard to time it.

Nice one touch controls! The slowdown before each obstacle is helpful:)

Nice simple game, although I wish to have more, for example using button control instead 1 click control.
For example, instead of just 1 click, what if we have to press different key(s) at each obstacle like some type of quick time event mini games, that would be kind of fun.

@zwodahs My initial target was having a one tap game but by the end I also felt it was too underwhelming. I actually considered having different inputs but didn't have time (nor will power) to make it by then  But thanks for the feedback, next time I try something like this I'll keep it in mind!

Fun little game, the art looks good.

I think the character would benefit from being in the light, would make the game feel more natural if he was lit and everything behind him was dark.

@jedemac Thanks for the feedback  At some point I was a bit conflicted on how I'd setup lighting but I thought that from behind it wouldn't make sense (in a laws of physics kinda a way). But I agree with you it's a bit weird seeing the character poorly lit :disappointed: Since this is a game and not a real world representation maybe I should have opted for your suggestion

I think that music and maybe some sound effects would really made this a lot better. Interesting fun idea and it would be better to add 2 keys for 1 dodge down and 2 jump over to be more interactive

Feels like those quick time event games which I actually enjoy. Fun to play passively and not think. A bit more variety would have made it better, but I can totally see in the time constraints how that isn't possible!

@esosek @venezia Thanks a lot for your feedback  Yes I should have pushed a little harder in order to have some more variety and sounds at least but well, maybe next time  Also I will definitely give more thought to the design the next time I make something with so little input. In some games it makes sense but clearly on my game I could have used at least one additional input

The game could really use some music. The generic stick-figure character doesn't clash well with the better-looking graphics of the spiders and rocks, but I will say that the animation for the stick-figure is good! I like the concept for this one; and the feeling of momentum when you hold down the spacebar/click as the player does an action is satisfying!

I love this! Reminds me a lot of the games I used to play on Newgrounds as a kid! The art style is very charming, and I chuckled when the character did a slow motion flip over the rock. Great job! :v:

When you get really far and things start moving really fast is when the game is at it's best. It basically becomes a 'blink and you die' thing which puts the tension on a lot. The animations of the stick figure are nice as well. Having some variation in the buttons pressed would be better, as it forces the player to pay more attention. Some audio, even just a bit, could help out a ton as well. Nice concept!

This is just the kind of addictive game I could see doing really well as a mobile app! The controls do feel a little floaty, especially in the early stages, but that could be my laptop/me not getting the timing right. I agree that some music/more sound effects could kick things up a notch. Overall, I'm impressed. Great work!

This was actually quite fun. I didn’t really get that far on my runs but I did really like the slow motion dodge effect.

Good game.
