Dukes of Debt by binroot
"Deeper and deeper in debt" sounded like a fun concept.
Borrow fighters from other leaders.

Battle the dukes to take the kingdom!

Be careful not to fall too deep in debt!

The visuals are ok, but their animations are really cool and add a lot to the cute/funny vibe. The music is simple too but works correctly with the visuals and spirit of the game.
Very good job overall, it's a nice entry!
What I missed: First, the battles felt too random in the sense that the opponents don't seemed much smart when selecting their "soldiers". Second, I think that I won the game, but there was no message telling me that!
Oh, and a nice interpretation of the theme! I really tried to come with more creative ideas, but could not think of any non-obvious idea that was also fun. Hats off! :tophat:
Good exploration of an interesting concept, I don't think I ever played something similar before.
Maybe with more fighting and strategic depth, It could be a very good full game.
Good job on making me want to play more of it though.
The combat mechanic is fairly interesting. Good enough for a game jam though could probably get a few extra layers of strategy and nuance if you were to decide to turn this into a more full fledged game.
Nice relaxing background beats. Great for a compo to have been able to include that.
