Well rounded and I like that you did music and sound effects. Maybe add some TNT!

As danvil said, some little extra upgrades like TNT would be great.

I do agree that TNT could improve the experience :D

More seriously, it's a nice little entry,
Well done!

Really neat game! I agree about the TNT, but overall it was a really good experience! Good job!

Lovely little game (like the nice touch with background parallax!). Few nitpicks: the controls don't feel direct (weirdly stiff), and walljump allows for effectively infinite jumping up.

TNT or some other mechanic would be nice :).

I quite like the visuals, especially above ground! The music and sound is good too. Would have been nice to have something to do with the gold I got, but it was nice and chill getting it.

I'm not sure if it's intended or not but you can stick to the walls and float.

Was able to gather plenty of gold! :v: Tried to find a place to use it but well, my little house is self sufficient! Great art! Congratulations on the game

Good start. Graphics looks really nice. I feel like the controls work ok, but you might want to focus on really nailing them down before adding more items and powerups. I like the lift, that has a lot of potential for gameplay.

Not sure if it's a Firefox on Linux problem, but controls seems to be flipped (z for dig and x for jump).

While I appreciate the chill experience, I wasn't quite sure as to what the goal of the game was.

@everyone thanks for the nice comments, I ran out of TNT or drills or more underground variation like cave ins or falling rocks, or better stuff deeper down.

Maybe I shouldn't have used a rigid body for the character and have directly move the player

Thanks for making this game. It was fun digging around and finding gold to mine. I like that the ground showed damage before being mined. One thing you might look at is the instructions text near the elevator didn't agree with my keyboard. But that didn't stop me. Once I collected a lot of gold, I wasn't sure what to do with it. But it was a fun experience and I'm glad you made it.

Good entry! Clearly a lot o work was put in it. In-game tutorial is wrong, haha, z and x switched places. There aree some bugs like endless wall jumping with spamming jump sounds. Mining animation differ in speed in different directions. Elevator is a cool feature, i wouldn't have thought of that

"Mine gold and chill out" the story of my life. I like the chill vibe of this game and how its faster to dig to the sides. I wish there was a goal though.

The digging sound came accross really annoying to me which ruined the "chill out" vibe the rest of the game offered.

Would have loved some small objective other than to just mine.
Love the the sound of holding the jump button, gold.

Nice music!

Looks good! Wish there was a bit more to the game, some minor challenge or purpose of mining.
But the visuals are quite chill, I liked that
P.S. control of mine and jump are mixed up hehe
The idea aswell reminds me of our mining game a bit too! Anyway, well done!

Fun game. I loved the addition of the dynamite, and the wall jumps felt solid. Only issue I had were the controls. They felt a bit odd since I am use to spacebar for jump.

Like other said, some objective or some fail state would've been cool, maybe some enemies even. Loved the art, and it was very chill. Overall, good game!

Great game!

I love the graphics and the aesthetics of it. I also found a "bug". When the player jumps and keeps moving into a wall, it "freezes" in mid-air.

I'm not sure this quite fits the "chill" vibe you were going for. The music and sound effects don't seem quite relaxing enough for it, and without any sort of goal or challenge, there's no real incentive to dig. You're just doing it because you can. It gets boring really quickly.

I have a couple of other nit-picks, as well. The controls are the wrong way round (it's Z to dig and X to jump, but the game says otherwise), and the lift seems redundant when I can just wall-jump out of the mine.

I think you should consider reworking this into a more goal-oriented game, where you can (for example) leave the mine and spend money on upgrades.
