Story

Oh no! The insects grew to giant size and are attacking humanity!

Good that I always keep a rocket in my barn for situations just like this. Now I only need to collect enough rocket fuel to hide deep in outer space.

In DigTD you fight off hoards of insects by placing traps in your underground maze. Meanwhile you gather as much rocket fuel as you can for that sweet highscore (and to flee from earth eventually).

I like the combination of tower defense and mining game! I may or may not have accidentally trapped myself in my own tunnels the first time around. Quite fun, and felt good to play.

Cool idea! Would have like an indication of damage done to ants.

Nice tower defense game, it wasn't very clear to me that I was placing towers and not simple traps. Interesting concept, I haven't seen this done before.

Thanks for bringing this by our stream! I really enjoyed this one. The mixture of digging tunnels while placing tower defense tiles was super interesting. I feel like there is real potential in this idea to expand with more tower types and the other things from tower defense games. I think adding things like tower synergies where some towers have their effects boosted by others could be really interesting additions. I'd also like more ability to look over my mess of tunnels after I die to make it easier to figure out where it went wrong. This is such a cool concept and I hope you expand on this idea, I'd love to play more!

It took me a minute to figure out exactly what to do, but once I realized what the game was about and how to control it, I was off and running. This game is fun. I mentioned in the live stream how I would recommend re configuring the controls and sound effects layering, but other than that, great job! :)

Very cool idea! I think there could probably be more different tower mechanics, like stunning/slowing or something. But surprisingly deep gameplay. More in the video here: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1003143985?t=0h35m7s

Had fun playing!! Really like this idea for tower D. Would have been cool if at the end when you die it zoomed out so you can see you whole tunnel. Good job!

I really like the concept of the game where you dig the path your enemies tunnel through for you to set up turrets, I wish there was a way to tunnel back and place more turrets or a sort of wave system, it felt like i was getting owned all the time and it was kind of arbitrary. There is digging but I don't really see the theme connection with 'deeper and deeper'. With a bit more polish I think that has immense potential to be a great game.

Game was a a lot of fun to play, ended up figuring out a trick to allow me to not really worry about bugs after a while. unfortunately the web build crashed on me when i was doing well DX.

[We played your game on stream!](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1023830637?t=03h34m47s)

This was a super unique concept, and even though it didn't have much of an end-state, I enjoyed trying to survive as long as I could.

I didn't *quite* understand what the best strategy was for avoiding those pesky wasps, as I felt I was laying traps as often as I could, but I think if I spent a bit more time with it, I'd be able to figure it out.
