Rover goes deeper by pfeyffer

[raw]
made by pfeyffer for Ludum Dare 48 (COMPO)

A little puzzle game with a rover on a mission to go deeper. Use arrow keys to move.

As always, creating the game mechanics took longer than expected and there was no time left for proper graphics and audio.

Clever puzzles! The mechanics are intuitive and layer on top of each other well

Nice puzzle game! Would appreciate some audio, but good work in all the other aspects.

Very cool concept for a puzzler! I also liked the gradual introduction of new stuff! And some of the puzzles were pretty tough!

Good puzzle concept. I love puzzlers. Something to keep working on after the jam to make it into a mobile thing or so.

Loved the puzzles. Would be improved by some music but the puzzle design makes up for it.

The mechanics here were pretty clever, but I found myself brute-forcing the puzzles rather than trying to solve them with any sort of finesse. The theme seemed to be used only in the sense of the game's scenario - there was no sense of "going deeper" in the gameplay itself.

Very nice. For me personally the level can even be more difficult. Well done.

The mechanics were really simple but the puzzles were still a bit challenging and fun.

Standard concept for a puzzle, but is well executed. My only feedback is that the two types of movable rocks look too similar.

Nice puzzle game.
It's simple and fun.

Will there be more levels?

Nice Sokoban-style game. I love the design, but I worry that it might be too much for players to keep track of - they may end up brute-forcing the puzzles. An undo function might help alleviate this in an expanded game, but regardless I enjoyed it a lot.

That's a really neat little puzzle game. I know from experience how hard it is to make a puzzle game for a game jam but you did a great job!

It's a shame you didn't have time to make better graphics and more level, because the gameplay works super well. Little thing that you could improve : when the level is over, getting to the next level automatically would make more sense than having to press a key.

Fun twist on Threes/2048 game mechanics! Pretty challenging, too.

I like the puzzle mechanic, and the progession was great. As an other commenter said, I found myself brute-forcing the puzzle. It seems fair to me, as perfecting / balancing a puzzle mechanic can take a really long time. It's a fun contribution either way :)

I love it. It's so simple but I really enjoyed it. I think with some music it would have been way better, but two days is a short time and in my game I didn't have time to add all I wanted either!
