Legendelver by DroidDare

[raw]
made by DroidDare for Ludum Dare 48 (COMPO)

You can play the game in your browser on itch.io

screenshot.png Gameplay: - Click cards to use them - Drag cards left and right to see the rest of your hand - Sorry for any bugs

legendary.png

The other bits: - Legendelver is a card game where you explore (or 'delve' into) the stories of the legendary cards in your hand. - I always thought it was rubbish how 'legendary' items in games either had no legend to go with them, or the legend sounded more fun than the actual game. Legendelver aims to change that.

This was fun and I really enjoy deck based games. Would be cool if you popped back out of the the monster you're delving into and get a really powerful attack on whoever you were fighting!

Hey! This was really cool, thanks for making it. I really like the idea of "delving" into a legendary card, what a cool concept.

Really cool idea. I don’t feel like I’ve understood everything though, maybe the end cards are too strong x)

Very nice cards. I included it in my compilation video series of a bunch of LDJAM games!

Great idea. I wasn't sure if i should try and stick aroundd and try to kill the enemy or delve when able to. Thanks and good job

Really nice job on this card game! I didn't hear any sound though not sure if that's a bug or was intended

I do like the game's mechanics and single card turns for extra challenge, albeit i dislike how you have to scroll just to see just one more card in your hand, and the total lack of sound. Aditionally the Delve cards and mechanic felt quite... Confusing for me.

That was a really cool game. Took a minute to figure out why enemies were just disappearing then realized if you Delve it skips them. Overall it plays great however. Some tweaking and more difficulty would be awesome for replayability

Cool idea! I wasn't really sure what would happen with my cool "legnedary" cards once I earned them, so that made me not want to waste them. Also, it said I was 90 levels deeper than I actually was. But I dig the fun recursive gameplay, and it fits the theme very well. Nice entry!

Making a card game always scared me cause it looks too difficult to do, even with more than 48h, so congrats for doing it, that's ambitious!
About the game, I didn't really understand why it was so easy to skip fights and delve instead. It didn't seem to have a big impact if I did so, but maybe i should have played it longer? Other than that I really like the visuals, cards did what I expected them to do, and the 'text adventure UI' style was a nice touch! GG
