Not much going on here just another janky platformer in unity. It's my first "complete" game (if you wanna call it that...) in unity and also my first ludum dare :smile:

Red bar is health and green is fatigue which is the number of jumps you have left. Fatigue probably should be removed as I think the game is most fun for short levels so it really doesn't play a real role.

For now the ranking system only depends on how many times you hit the walls. S rank = 0 wall hits etc. And all levels can be beaten with no wall hits! See if you can do it!

Controls: spacebar to jump, a/d or :arrowleft: / :arrowright: to move.

Very tough. Especially without the jump (I made it past the first two levels before I remembered the jump existed and thought to try it midair). Fun little game, though, kept me playing to the end. Keep it up and next time try to be a little more ambitious (just keep doing a little more each jam :) ).

Fun game with fun physics. Was pretty short so would have liked to play some more levels or maybe add an endless mode?

Fun while it lasted! I A-ranked all 3 levels, it's tough to judge with just those 3 though. Of those 3, all I can say is they're tuned to developer-difficulty, and could do with either being somewhat easier, or having an easier set of levels preceding them for a new player to build skill on. Certainly, a lovely idea, executed well.

Good job, it doesn't matter how elaborate or complex your game is, the fact to the matter is you finished something in only 2 days ! Not that many people can say that ;) Thank you for making this !

Fun little game! I like the difficulty of it and that the physics make your little cube spin on your way down. There's something charming about this mechanic. Dress it up and keep playing with this idea. It's a good one. :)

It took after several tries on the last level before I realized you could press space to float/jump! lol! This could use more polish, but you are on to something here!

When you said "janky unity platformer" I knew what to expect, so I was surprised to find something pretty unique! This is a fun and challenging game, and I appreciate that you added a ranking system so there's a reason to play the short levels more than once. Obviously, it'd be nice to see more levels, but that's something you could say of most LD games. I didn't give you a rating for audio because I didn't hear any. Is there supposed to be sound?

A difficult but fun challenge! I beat every level and could easily see this becoming a fun mobile game - great job!

Interesting game, level 3 was especially difficult. I think it would have been nice if the camera was positioned further ahead of the block, so you could see where you're going. Perhaps that would make it too easy, but as it was it was a bit frustrating.

Fun game! Like flappy bird but vertical and hard as hell. I wasn't sure I believed you when you said S was possible in all levels but eventually I got S in each. Good job on the game. :)

Hi, nice simple game you've made. I like the simplicity, but for me it was really hard. Maybe some music would help to keep me entertained while I keep failing.

Congrats on publishing your first "complete" game and for participating in your first LD! Completing a game (of any size) is an accomplishment that most people never achieve; it's certainly something to be proud of.

As for the game, itself, it's freaking difficult (especially if you don't remember that you can 'jump'), but I still had fun trying to get through the levels. Good job!

Could totally see myself spending many a work meeting playing this on the Android. Imagine if the box bounced even more and was even more annoying, it could be a real test of patience and control/dodging

Thanks everyone! Loved all the comments. Yeah @chris-delta the difficulty was something I struggled with. I love super difficult platforming games but it's easy to make things too hard (or developer difficulty as you said)

@yamzho Don't feel to bad! It took me about 30 minutes just playing level 2 to get a perfect score. Probably a sign I should have made things easier haha.

Well, that was not annoying at all ! Really enjoyed this short rush of action-packed free fall. The goal and the mechanics were crystal clear, and I am proud to say I cleared the 3 levels, even if my rank was C each time...

Strenghts :
- Straightforward gameplay loop
- Well-balanced challenge (life bar vs level length)

Possible improvements :
- A bunch of sound effects go a long way...but 48h is definitely very short.

All in all, congratualtions for your game !

I didnt find it annoying at all but extremely hard xP I felt like beating level 2 was sheer luck haha

A - B - B for me, definitely not gonna go for S rank. Otherwise a fun (although short game), but I could see two small improvements making it even better.
1) Minimap on the side of the screen
2) A small delay after respawning, as I usually was steering the wrong way from previous fall

Good job though!
