I love this game! The action is intense, and quickly swishing through rocks feels great.

Awesome! Reminds me of playing skifree as a kid - I sucked at that too haha. Couldn't crack 500 points, I'll give it another go later to see if I can make it farther. Fun graphics and sounds, nice idea adding the option to leave unscathed. Simple but fun gameplay. And being able to knock this out in 2 days while still in high school is impressive! (this is coming from someone who teaches game development to high schoolers) Congrats on your upcoming graduation.

I really enjoyed the idea of being able to jump in what usually a "move left and right" genre, it really is a refreshing take.
Being able to leave is also quite clever, it could really work in more games of this genre.

Overall it is a cool, but really unforgiving, concept.

Congratulations on your entry !

Fun and straight forward gameplay. It's a good difficulty for a jam game. It's easy enough to get started, but still pretty challenging. The music went well with the game too.

I agree with the comment above: "Easy to click out of the window though". Aside from that, controls felt good.

Looking forward, consider adding ski jumps :)

Really cool idea letting the player decide if they want to end the run manually or risk losing a bunch of points to medical expenses if they die. Also I appreciate how the blocks stop moving once you approach them nice touch.

I love the retro pixel graphics! Nice booming sound track. Combined with the mouse controls makes for some great twitch game play.

I really want to be able to do something with my loot  or am I missing something?

Really great job and keep up the good work!

Hey @squigglez thanks for submitting your game! :robot: I really liked it! As said a leader board would increase the "addiction factor" 10x and i think this game has a good chance to work on mobile

Really fun game, great sound effects and music, and quite addicting! One thing I would suggest is to make the collision boxes a bit more forgiving, many times I crashed by touching the side of a rock I thought I had already avoided :P

I also agree with @wujood, a leaderboard would be great. ([dreamlo](http://dreamlo.com/) is a good free one)

I liked the fact, that you did not stop and restart the music between the single game-plays-rounds.
The music itself was not annoying - and that is goood!

The controls felt good, as soon as i found out, that you can use the spacebar to jump.
The mouseclick to jump, did not feel very natural for me, which is why i really appreciate the spacebar jump, although it was not noticed in the "tutorial".

The gem-collecting feature adds another level of competitive factor, as you can show off more skill by collecting the stuff AND reaching a certain depth compared to only focus on not hitting the rocks.

The arcade game style enables the player to have some competition with their friends and/or people on the internet. If you ever create a post compo verison of the game, such a feature would add great value.

Fun game. I ended up playing for a lot longer than I had planned to.

As @madelfino said, it also reminded me of Skifree which I played endlessly when I was younger (I made it past the yeti once!).

Would have loved to have been able to buy upgrades with the loot I had collected.

A fun and addicting little game. I felt the loot distribution and difficulty were heavily influenced by RNG, but it's enjoyable nonetheless! I really like the concept of bailing in the middle of the run to save your loot.

The art and the music are really well done, and give the game a nice feel. The controls are good although I think the jump is a little too short, making it easy to land on a rock you are trying to jump over. Great job overall.

I had a lot of fun with this! My only complaint is the music is very loud. Jumping worked really well, and I definitely replayed quite a number of times trying to get a high score. I was going to exit having gotten a bit of entertainment out of it after 9-10 runs, but then I realized I hadn't understood the "medical expenses" line. Once I grasped what was going on there I had to try a few more runs. I really love the touch of being able to decide when you've had enough, and preserve your points! It adds a really cool risk vs. reward decision to the whole thing, and I thought it was really clever!

Here's my best score. =)
