Great stuff. Love how you mixed 2D and 3D

Tough, ngl, it was work to push that stupid car :D I guess that was the idea behind the whole game though.

Fantastic humour, I laughed so much with all the serendipitous circumstances under which this unlikely racing-style comes to be. The continuous "deepening" after every round was hilarious, too.

Oh, also: :)

"Go deeper..."
"Impossible."
"But it is...

Hilarious gameplay, though frustrating at time, I feel that's part of it. Like at the end I was going to win at all costs, I don't care if that makes me a crappy friend. I love purple guy though, he seems like a chill and reasonable dude.

Well done! That was a lot of fun and unexpectedly goofy.

I love it, just the right length, funny story, funny to kick your car, visually surprisingly pleasing ( everything fits together )

Fun to play, looks cool, absolutely hilarious, thanks for sharing! I didn't expect to be playing a game where I'd be kicking cars, but here we are.

Definitely a creative way to interpret the theme ^^
Can't say that I expected to kick a car to the finish line when the lights turned green :D
That dialogue was great!

Well done! ^_^

This game exceeded my expectations around every corner lol, amazing job.

The first twist of how to play was awesome, you had really good pacing there because I most definitely thought the controls were messed up. Even kicking around the car was well done because it still (mildly) adhere to car physics so there was a bit of skill involved in it. If you COULD align the car correctly with the road, it felt very satisfying to blast it.

Going deeper each time, yet another clever and hilarious twist.

And like others said, the jokes didn't get repetitive nor did you overstay your welcome. This game was an excellent package overall and probably will be one of the main ones I remember from this jam.

I really like games that go outside the box with the theme! You did an amazing job creating this, and it was a blast to play. Congrats on a great entry!

Haha, great game!

I admit it, I did kick my buddy's car at the last race... Had to get to the finish line first, you know? :D
Overall, a great entry. Good graphics, very good idea (even if a bit frustrating since it is super hard to push the car in the right direction with the character "sliding" off), funny dialogs...

Congrats!

I really loved the unique mechanics and the silly story, even though the game would frequently brake. It wasn't just that the car moved unpredictably (I loved that!), it's that it would often get stuck or move in the opposite direction, or get glued to a wall in pretty much every race. 🤣

I also I have to admire (if not reward) your attempt to explain how you used the theme, if for no other reason for the sheer audacity of it. I gave the game a high score for "humor" and a low score for "theme."

Overall, great work! I'd love to see this expanded. Maybe a multiplayer version?

Really funny game, I liked the dialogues and that car being lowered to an absurd level  Graphics looks neat too.

Gameplay-wise, it's interesting, though it was quite hard to get used to the controls. I kept thinking that the direction in which I was walking would be the direction of the push, having to set the direction with the mouse additionally felt a bit unintuitive. Except that, it was quite fun!

Ok now that's the kind of humor that I LOVE! You got me laughing out loud so many times. Good job on the story, the dialogs, the gameplay, that was really great.

I liked your pixel art and your music too.

I don't know what I would have done differently, everything was really good, nice work !

This is the best, I love how you can just punch any car you want. On the last level you could just win by going up through the cars instead of on the proper track tho, which I'm not sure is intended. Either way, gj!

The lowering was just top tier. Loved the gameplay, the dialog, and the art. The music didn't quite fit with the rest but it wasn't annoying or anything. Great job.

I was so hyped for the race...and then the car did not move. What came next was even more fun and funny than the race could be! Amazing and funny little game! I hope I won't go missing now...

Ha! One of the best ones I've played so far. I just wish the controls were better! I was enjoying the strategies of taking shortcuts and kicking my friend's car back, but still had too much trouble maneuvering and kicking to be able to finish the final race.
Really clever and polished (except for some of the controls).

This was really well done! the 2d/3d mix is really great, the narration is hilarious, and the mechanic is super novel. I just loved playing it. Great job!

It took me a while to realize that the direction from your character toward the mouse cursor was of great importance when kicking any vehicle. Once that was noticed, every race became a piece of cake. This game turned out to be very cute. Well done!

That was hilarious :). Graphics are pleasant, and the fake music is kinda fun as well!

Kicking your car is surprisingly fun and gets challenging in the last race. Very impressive piece of solo work.

@trexxak Haha, well done! That poor friend... but don't tell him 🤫

But nevertheless, you nearly helped him get a shortcut xD

I gotta love how many twists the game has in it. Like, okay, I can accept that making my car lower will make it faster. But then the game immediately throws a curveball and the guy starts pushing his car... but then I don't even get to *push* my car, I get to *kick* it! It's like, the most my expectations have ever been subverted.

I feel like it might even be worth it to take that idea farther... the next round, your car is so deep that the wheels are sticking through it, it seems like that could lead to a whole new mechanic!

That said, I feel like the game makes good use of the kicking mechanic. The level design is exactly what it needs to be... the second level shows you that you can shove your car through other cars, and then the third level has a shortcut that consists of pushing through the other cars. It really doesn't need much else.

Overall, really good entry. Short, to the point, still has some super incredible moments.

Ha! This was a lot of fun! The story and dialogue are fantastic, and the humor is brilliant. I love how the guy chops off parts of his car just to lower it even more!

I love how I was also able to kick the other car, giving me quite the advantage, ha! Seriously great work.
