Deeper in color by sparked99
Keep your enemies at bay and defeat the boss.
My idea for usage of the theme was to interpret deeper as meaning a darker shade so I made a game where whenever your enemies attack you they bring darkness.

Visuals are ok and the sound effects are welcome! A nice music would have added a lot to the mood!
Nice entry, good job!
It was sometimes a bit hard for me to track where the shots would go. It might be easier to play if your rendered a bigger more obvious cursor or something to help with that.
I like the art, I like the effects!
A fun and intense romp. I loved the feedback/screen shake when I landed a hit, it felt impactful and juicy. I would have liked a bit more umph when I took a hit though. Overall a really fun play through and a great entry!
However, I regret not being able to move my character with the arrows on my keyboard (I have an AZERTY keyboard) which made my gaming experience more difficult.
I did find the game fairly easy to cheese, by standing still and keep attacking all over. Would have been nice with something that threw me off, or maybe a power-up that motivated me to move out of my safe corner.
Anyhow, nice job!
