I'll admit though, other than just running around, I really didn't know what I was meant to be doing? What was the deal with the "Energy of Cog"? Just a little more direction, even on the game's pages, would have helped a little!
But other than that, great job!
@geckoo1337 @finntastico I'm happy the light is working fine, I spent a lot of time on it due to some silly bug ...
A few things I found frustrating that could be easy fixes:
- ladders being usable or not is not super clear looks-wise
- I found a few shortcuts... that I could use only once due to the state of the game not changing
- you die right away when you set a lightbulb? I see the logic but it kills your run.
Cool base and concept though, would like to see where it can expand!
diying when you set a lightbulb is the main intention of the game ;) it allow you to use your run (for example when you don't have enough energy to go farer) for simplify futur run. I understand that many mechanics are hard to understood and i work on it ;)
I hope that being more clear on the mechanics will be enough to solve frustrating element of the game :|
not sure i understand your second point, could you give me a specific example? some shortcuts are meant to be used once, but the elevator is not, but they are really unclear and this is the first thing I will work on :)
When your lightbulb is off, you consume less energy, so switching when you know the way or when you are near a light allows you to go further in your run ;)
You're not forced to use it anyway.
I wish I could hear those cogs turning though :)
