Treasure Hunt

Controls:

Boat - WASD / Arrow keys to move the boat; Space to drop a sonar device. When you find treasure, Z to dive at the spot.

Sub - WASD / Arrow keys to control the sub; B to return to the boat.

Has a bit of a puzzle element to the main game.

Use space to drop sonar devices to search for treasure. The number displayed by each device is the distance to the nearest treasure. When you find a treasure, use Z to launch the sub and dive deeper and deeper to retrieve the gold!

Can you find all three treasures?

Pretty good minesweeper-esque puzzler. I'm not sure if it's working properly, since I would put a bunch of sonars around different places and they would all come back with the same number? It could also just be that I'm bad at it, so that didn't effect the score I gave you. This is a really unique entry, good job.

Neat idea. I wish there was more going on in the decent once a treasure is found. Great work!

Really smart mix of gameplay mechanics in this game. It blends well, and the simple pixel aesthetic harkens back to old games like Oregon trail and Might and Magic. Hits you right in the nostalgia button.

Felt like it was too luck based for a puzzle game. I think diving should have more going on as well.

Congratulations on your game, he has a more beautiful minimalist art, the idea of mixing the movement of the baron and then collecting the treasure was one of the points to highlight, because it made the game more fun, thank you for the opportunity to have known your work, a big hug, and I await your feedback regarding my game.

I like the sonar minesweeper-like mechanic. I found that I could keep diving back on the same treasure and get it over and over again, perhaps the treasure should disappear once you dive down and get it? As others have mentioned, the diving portion could use something more. The diving movement was also a little hard to control. I think this idea really has merit though and could turn into something bigger. Good job!

I like how you have to dive for the treasure. It adds another layer on top of the minesweeper esque gameplay. Nice work!

Good concept!
Maybe a background changing when we dive could be cool to have the feeling of moving down or up
The idea of sonars is cool like minesweeper on windows in improved way.
Good game, thank you :)

Nice! After a few tries I managed to get all three treasures. It got easier once figured out that distance is calculated with diagonal moves, not only right, left, top and bottom as I had assumed. The submarine sections, while a neat idea, where really annoying. I guess they were unfinished due to time constraints but IMHO it would have been better to cut them and use the spare time to do a win screen (or acknowledge that the player beat the game with a message). Great job overall!
