One complain I'd have is that sometime the objets fall through the floor, probably because of some collision snafu. But I really shoudn't be saying that, seeing how much I've struggled with the same issue in my own games !
Anyway, congratulation on your very solid submission !
But anyway, the biggest like from me personally is for the theme. Well done developing it in a such a unique and fresh way!! Красавчики!))
Гляньте, пожалуйста, еще наш пазл Deep Sweep) Удачи вам, ребят!!
The storytelling is 10/10. I even needed to take a break and check comments, because it got too scary and a sudden jumpscare or something would kill me :D You can really feel that you're getting close to the problem and that it can get messy any second. Also, the same rooms in different times were brilliant. The atmosphere is great. The little stories when you discover new doors were just amazing.
This is a very interesting game and it was fun playing it, thanks for that :)
As a few minor details, pressing control for too long (like 2 or 3 seconds) crashed the game (I know its not on your control list but when I saw I was crouching, I tried to use it to find some hidden objects) and, if you press escape, you cant go back to the game (you can either exit or go back to menu and it make you start all over again)
I really liked the evolution of the story and the puzzles to open the doors, they were well made. congrats
Интересный взгляд на игровой процесс. Хотя я больше увлекаюсь 2D графикой, но и 3D производит впечатление, соглашусь. Спасибо за игру! ^_^
!> I thought the sun in the picture was a clue, and kept trying to dig under the clear daylit sky.
Some remarks:
1. Mouse is too sensitive in HTML5 version. 4K display here. In Windows version it is Okay. Expectation: mouse sensitivity is same in HTML5 and Windows versions.
2. Texts disappear too fast. Expectation: more time to read the texts.
3. It is hard to understand that you need to go back to open doors that previously had no signs on it. That might be intended, but expectation: doors that could be open have signs on it from the beginning or something indicates that you need to check that doors again.
Great entry!
+Неплохой левелдизайн
+Интересная интерпретация темы
-скучновато
-не нашел дверь куда подставить рамку
-не очень понятна логика предметов и дверей
Very enjoyable detective game. Hints for using the correct keys were intuitive for the most part, except for the last two doors where the belt and cut it came into play again. I looked around for the knife that I used previously for ages! Then I gave up and went to look for the belt instead - then only did I realize I did not need the knife again lol.
I played the game in the browser and it was a bit of a struggle when you want to go mute the music and then your mouse pointer keeps interfering after that when you want to move around. I minimized the screen to continue playing.
I also don't know what I did wrong, but I pressed Esc at some point and I couldn't return to the game. I had to restart the new game from scratch. Only realized later I could have just clicked on the screen to continue playing the current game.
Perhaps make the menu in such a way that the music can be muted there. This will avoid the conundrum with the cursor.
A save function would also be extremely helpful.
I would also have liked something bad to happen to the character if you did not have the correct key and you tried to open a door.
What would also be nice is that you have to place the key down again in a certain place, otherwise you can't go through that door again...
There were some minor graphics glitches, e.g. in the first sand pit the shovel could move through the umbrella pole.
And the hit box around the glass in the kitchen kept appearing through walls in other rooms...
Sometimes if you dropped an item by pressing E, it only disappears for a second and then it appears back in your hand without you pressing E again.
There is artifacting going in the locker where the cigarettes are when you look at the shelves at certain angles. Also a bit of artifacting in the rooms where the cabinets are next to each other.
When you walk around with the baseball in your hand, it partially obstructs your view so you can easily see the door you need to open. The chairs falling over makes it a bit difficult to maneuver around, but I'm assuming that's supposed to be like that ;)
I like the interaction of the broom stick with the bottles on the kitchen table where they were falling of if you touched them with the broom handle by mistake. However, I found it quite easy to move out of the room even with the broom handle being horizontal, but perhaps it won't be easy to code the maneuvering through the door otherwise? I guess we don't want to make it too hard or unenjoyable /frustrating for the player to move about.
I liked how the playgrounds got more messier with trash bags and the umbrella falling over. Also the rain and the gloominess showed how the killer's mood was.
All-in-all this was a brilliant job! Well done and I look forward to playing another game like this from you!!
