Making potions is no easy work. It especially requires a good memory to remember all the recipes!

Controls:
Play with the mouse!

To play:
1. Click the :book: recipes book to find all the recipes
2. Drag all the ingredients :hotpepper: :honeypot: :fourleafclover: to the cooking pot
3. Click to stir :spoon: the cooking pot
4. Drag the created potion to the customer :thought_balloon: to sell the potion

Screenshots:

Notes: The game speeds up as you go. It starts very slowly so you can learn and memorize all the recipes. After playing for a while it will very gradually become really fast. I am not sure how well balanced this is, but I think it is probably right... :thinking:

Behind the scenes?
Ludum Dare 48 had an additional challenge for me: art! It went well I think.
I did originally plan to join the Compo but that didn't happen though. Still, I made everything myself, but in 72 hours instead of 48...

One strategy some people use for game balance is keeping track of the player's performance and adjusting the difficulty based on it. Maybe you could set it up to raise the speed with every success and lower the speed with each failure.

JUST Amazing art!! It's really really good, the game feels super polished, I'm not entirely sur what was your take on the theme, was it related with the deep sleep? I didn't make it to a customer asking for a 4 stars sleep potion, may I lost something.

The LD potion was a really nice touch. On my end the clients area was a bit offscreen, but not something that couldn't be managed.

Overall great job!! Congraats!

Very nice visuals and a nice game loop :)

It would be a nice touch if you could try to aim the potions jumping out to hit the speech bubbles :D

The graphics are so cute ! The gameplay works really well, with some different cooking steps it could make an amazing crafting game !

Really great work, what an amazingly high quality entry! The sound effects are great, same with the art, very cute. I think the only thing this was lacking was a conclusion. Very fun and addicting though.

Awesome, loved the cartoony graphics, has a very polished feel. The sound design is good too and the gameplay is unique.

You should make thhe level 2 potion s more distinct so the player isn't confused

It's a fun little game and it's super polished so nice work on that. I think it was a bit too slow for me. My only major problem was that it didn't feel very satisfying to hand in potions. Just felt a little disappointing that the order just vanished and there was no sound effect or score going up. Other than that though, nice work!

More fun than expected! I especially loved how the recipes someone made sense. E.g. ginger and chili for "Love" potion? I can see that. Amazing entry!
