PS : I have no audio ???
Nice graphism and music!
we have audio a lot,but this web mode will mute as default, but you can unclick mute button in web buttom, this bug
we having some trouble to fix
ps: we design two character for two players, so there are be more fun play this with your friend, thanks a lot anyway
The jumping controls felt a bit awkward, but that might just be because I was playing one character with each hand.
The music was very soothing, and the characters were cute. I wish they faced the camera sometimes so I could see their faces...
I suggest that you add to the description that this is for 2 players.
The controls felt a bit clunky and I also felt that there should be a more clear indication that you need to drop down, because if I don't see a platform from where I'm standing I'm gonna think there's nothing there
so you could either bring the platform higher up so you can see it or kind of create a trail down with the cubes or coins or something
I still really liked it though!
Initially loved the split control idea, but perhaps some more player guidance/easing them into how to master jumping & grabbing would make it more enjoyable as I feel I got stuck very quickly.
Great lovely game and really cute.
The good:
- Graphics are really well done. Although most of the platforms look like they're pretty simple geometry, there is some variety and it's not just the same cube 800,000 times as you play. The characters are adorable as well.
- Sound effects and music fit the atmosphere/mood of the game really well, although I did find the end of the music piece to be a bit abrupt. Also not sure why web mode mutes audio by default, but I saw that in an earlier comment, so I assume it was just a Unity thing.
The not as good:
- Controls seemed a bit clunky for me (although I was trying to play both characters myself, not sure if this is supposed to be 2 players or nah?) Sometimes even if I pressed "jump" for both sides at exactly the same moment, only one would jump and the other would just stand there. It seems like there is also a cooldown on how fast you can jump, but this isn't indicated anywhere, which could possibly be helpful as well.
- The game mechanic of being tied together is cute, but I've seen it quite a few other times now (Red Rope, Rite of Ilk, Fling to the Finish, and some others) Still, your rope mechanics seem to work pretty well, giving a bit of freedom to not be forced 100% in the same direction, and even offering some springiness to the rope between the characters. However, I still at times noticed some weird physics glitches happening where (without pressing the "hold" button, one of the characters would get stuck on a floor/ceiling or on occasion just float a bit next to the other one, like standing on each others' head, except there was a gap between them so they're just floating mid-air until someone moves). Again, probably just a quirk of Unity's physics, because I could do the exact same controls and it only happened like, 5% of the time
Overall:
- This is a pretty solid entry and I enjoyed playing it. With a bit more polish, I could see this turning into a pretty fun game, although I think if it's marketed as 2 player it could be way more entertaining when one player tries to go one way and the other wants to go a completely different direction. A really solid entry and a fun little game!
The audio didn't work for me.
I managed to glitch through some of the platforms, with one character pulling the other through.
The spot near the end you have to swing along the ceiling was annoying as the items were not perfectly spaced, requireing going back many times. I missed four in total.
the audio problem seems a big problem for us , It is unity web mode auto mute at first time ,and we need some time to fix this ,
and the items not perfectly ,we know this problem  my cooworks remind me this problem and I said "this is no time for fix this" anyway ,it seems a alot of works to do now , thanks a lot
seems that come back for me
1, jump problem is sure a bug ,seems like we need some time to fix this in script ,there is no CD in jump button, just a bug :smirk:
2, rope float is also a bug ,when the rope length eaquals max length ,seems we caculate the force we should add to characters , maybe the force direction is not correct , I will check that (PS: we know this bug ,but we think there are no others will find this ,you are the first one)
3 It is sure will publish as two players game , and we will find some games as reference ;
thanks a lot
I also found the controls a bit wonky, and I don't think I can blame all of it on me sucking. The level-design could also be improved, e.g. already from the start it was difficult to know where you should be heading as you couldn't see so far down. Maybe an arrow that points the way or something..? But I'm sure this is because lack of time and not having enough time to design the levels.
Congrats on making a great game! The comments are only nit-picking since the game is already so well made.
yeah,I admit the controls is wonky cus we dont have much exprence in making characters control;arrow points is a good idea ; those advise are nice , and we will spent time improving this game
The first time that I grabbed onto the ceiling and swung with the second player was a really cool experience.
I think a nice feature would have been the ability to "piggy-back" on one player, so that you only had to control one character at a time during certain segments. It would have made the "mundane" platforming sections a lot less frustrating.
Great work!
