I thought the pixel art elements were particularly good, but I didn't like the combination of non-pixel art particle effects and VFX with the pixel art elements. The music was good, but too repetitive, the bomb sound effect sounded really weird when too many bombs were set off at the same time, and it was difficult to kill the enemies with the bombs. That sounds like a lot of negatives, but that's only because I spent a decent amount of time with the game. It was a lot of fun and has a lot of potential!

Great fun game. However, I don't think that the non-pixel art particle effects fit in with the retro aesthetic. Great job though!

Very nice-looking and polished game!
I was placing bombs and running away at first, but then I decided that instantly detonating them to progress was waaaay faster so I spent the whole game exploding myself against walls :p

Nice!!! Dynablaster inspired game. One of the best polished games i've played so far. Great graphics, good music, fast and responsive controls. Thanks to the good controls you can play it in a very fast style. This game looks much better than 3 days to me. Great Job.

Really fun game, felt super smooth to control! The graphics and animations are great, thought the choice of colours for the bomb explosions in particular were good to really make them exciting! The addition of extra mechanics to open doors with the bombs was neat too, getting the most out of what you've already built! And it does teach the valuable life lessons that all problems can be solved by blowing things up!

Really good! Personally, I like the pixel art and VFX. The enemies were a hastle to kill, so I either ignored them, or just kamikazed. It would be great to have more puzzle oriented levels, because puzzles + time strain + enemies sounds cool.

So nice! The particle work really puts this together. In the first few levels were getting a little repetitive with the going back and forth to blow up walls, but the enemies in the later levels made it a lot more fun. Maybe the ability to throw the bombs or dash in and out would make the gameplay more dynamic.

In the final level I'm not sure if that was supposed to happen or not, but I blew up a switch on the other side of the wall and finished the level, maybe that's the intended way but it looked like maybe I was supposed to go around and the level ended pretty quickly so I'm mentioning it just in case.

Insanely polished game, but I do wish there were invincibility frames when you get hit by an enemy, I'm shamed to admit I died a few too many times when an enemy pinned me to a wall and just ate all my health

Super solid entry for the jam, would've loved to see more interactions with the bombs (tossing, throwing, chucking, kicking, think bomberman) or some movement options from the player that also use the same resources to encourage interesting critical thinking situations? Overall super solid though! Hope you make more for this soon.

Cool and pleasant stylish pixel graphics! Interesting gameplay, fun to play! Catchy visual effects.

Some remarks:
1. There is feeling that you need to touch chests and crystals instead of detonating them because detonation destructs things. Expectation: game informs that you can safely detonate chests and crystals or you need to touch them.
2. Music is pretty intrusive. Expectation: music contains less high notes or more variety.

Very well done. I love the way that you explore the possibility space with the different types of switches and enemies. The progression felt good, though it did feel a little weird that you introduce stronger walls and immediately after the upgrade makes them normal walls again. Tying the life bar to a timer as well felt great and kept the pace frantic which was fitting. Good job!

Simple graphic style that works. Gameplay feels polished and starts immediately without boring storytelling. Solid entry!

The graphics fabulous. The controls were sharp and spot on. Sadly the idea wasn't too original and the game was pretty easy, yet this is one of the most refined entries in this whole contest. I liked it a lot and finished every level.

cool game, very well polished. the art/sound is great and i love the effects like the explosion and the ghosts. there could be more variety in puzzles but it feels complete

always nice to see a game jam entry with screenshake :thumbsup: I like how the levels don't drag on, if I died I didn't have to redo a ton of stuff to get back to where I had been. Also, the particle effects on that title screen! Another thing I noticed: it's cool that you don't run out of energy on the first level, before the game has taught you that you need to care about energy; it's a nice touch. Great work!

Absolutely sublime. The energy meter that slowly drains shaped my entire approach to the game, and I think that made it a lot more fun than it otherwise would have been.

Really nice art. I really like the effect of the ring around bomb to let you know when it will go off.

Wow, this is really nice. You obviously put a ton of work into this. The bomb mechanic is amazing. It starts quite slow and gets really frantic near level 15. Perfect! I love the particle effects and the different enemy types. Everything felt really polished, except the music, which got a bit tiresome. But that's just nitpicking.

I will only say one small thing to fix, when you are looking down, and you place a bomb, it is placed on your same tile, but if you walk up, it places on top of the character, it took me a little to kill the lower enemies :sweat_smile:

Nice game! But really could use it's own music and sound effects (the short loop gets old really fast, and doesn't fully match the overall aesthetic of the game). Still, good job!

The only thing I don't like is that damaging yourself doesn't turn your invulnerable for a while, which I think it's kind of the usual.
