It's good. I had a hard time telling what everything was, but it was a good game nonetheless.

I had fun playing! I think the first level was a little long, I was about to quit thinking there was only one level and then I beat it as I was about to close the game. I liked the difficulty increase of the second level.

The health bar was clear, the idea of being the sun collecting gases was clear, I'm not sure I know what the squiggles were, but it was easy to figure out how to play, and it was fun to play. I think a meter for how long the level was would have gone a long way to keep me interested.

Over all it was successful and pretty fun! Nice work!

Cool game. I had fun avoiding all those weird things coming at me.

I liked the space theme and the music.

At first I had some difficulty telling what to dodge and what to collect, but after a short time I got it. The soundtrack is EPIC! Nice job!

Pretty decent game! It would probably be fun if you had something else to do as actually you can mostly win levels by staying static (as energy doesn't decay if you don't move). The music choice was really good though! Made the whole experience a bit better. Keep it up!

Really nice music, love the game but it was a bit difficult to disinguish the things that heal you from the things that hurt you anyway good job

Soundtrack really fit the mood of the levels, I mostly was able to guess which things were good to avoid or collect when I first saw them, and if I guessed wrong it wasn't usually too punishing. The one thing I would say felt bad to me was that moving also used up my health/resource bar, it incentivized me to stay still most of the time, only moving to dodge if I had to. Not necessarily a bad thing if you are going for a more measured/intentional feel of movement.

As @play-now said, I had a hard time telling what everything was sometimes. But overall good game :)

Well, that was a fun ride through space ! The gameplay loop was straightforward and enjoyable, and the graphics were crisp. I also really enjoyed your music choices !

Strenghts :
- Straightforward, approachable gameplay
- Clean, readable graphics
- Great mood !

Possible improvements :
- Levels are maybe a tad too long, and gameover making you start from scratch is punishing

Overall, great job !

Thank you all for your comments! You all have very valid concerns. I should have explain the game better on the start screen. I also ran out of time to refine the controls a bit more. This is for me the biggest downside that prevents the game from really feeling great to play. Level duration is hidden in the planet movement. When the planet goes all the way to the left, the level ends. One thing I really should have changed was restarting the level instead of restarting the game if you die.

Congrats on the first Ludum Dare jam game . Great little game with well done graphics. Loved the little green guys face lazering all over. At first I didn't really realize that just moving used my energy and of course that bit me in the ass. Music was a bit too loud for me and I missed that final bad Jupiter boss :smirk:

Keep on jammin!

This is a nice little side scroller although as first i wasnt sure what my objective was. Also I found the game a little easy, a few different enemies and waves would have been good. With a little more polish this would be a good game.
