'Til Debt Do Us Part

The game started out as a concept of slipping deeper and deeper into debt in order to keep up with perceived societal standards and demands, but grew into encompassing a wider phenomenon of falling deeper into a false illusion of happiness in those surrounding you, as well as a notion of measuring one's own self-worth in relation to others. The game explores that such a notion is hardly unique to a select few individuals, but rather something common to modern society, albeit hidden behind a facade of good spirits in those in your surroundings.

NOTES

Pressing "Start game" in the menu will freeze the game for about 10-20 seconds while it loads in the game scene. As there is no proper loading screen, it may seem as if the game has crashed (some browsers may even glitch out the music), but just be patient and it will start.
