A good start to horror game! The atmosphere of pressing depth is conveyed well.

Excellent music, fits in well with the art, and really sets the foreboding atmosphere.

Slow movement speed was getting a bit tiring, but otherwise the runtime of this game would be incredibly short, so i can't really fault you for that. Nice entry!

I really love the atmosphere, the graphics as well as the sounds really support the mood, though all the slow walking felt a bit tedious, but other than that, a really great entry!

Graphic style and sound direction are very catchy. I think it would be better to have a faster character, because it's not that fun. Though I may be wrong, it creates sensation of unawareness, which is suitable. Overall, great game, thank you!

Cool game. Color palette is really nice and works well with your mood and art style. Submarine was really cool, and I would love to explore more story and horror going on there. The sub is inherently a dangerous small claustrophobic space, and very vulnerable to many things. As a jam/compo game, I think this needs to quicken the pace. There is benefit to setting the scene for horror, but slow walking speed quickly becomes frustrating. I would like to see the story setup and start quickly. Really cool game, well done.

I really liked it, but then it cuts off right when it gets interesting :(

I also think the characters could have more detail and there could be much less walking

I loed the music though, and the art altough simple was very well done

Nice art!
I just got out of the game because of the footsteps sound that was too loud for me.
Great job as it is :)

I like the style and sound and i could see it being a good game but i literally almost fell asleep while playing it. even with the loud footsteps. i would tone those down, speed up the character as it is painfully slow. maybe if you're going for a interactive graphic novel type del then create some intrigue with a bit more back story, make me care about the character, give me a clue as to what could be lurking, have someone die to bring home its lethality. for the limited time its not too bad though. flesh it out and i'm sure you could make it a winner.

Graphics and especially the sound are great. However, similarly to previous comments, the movement speed was too slow for me.

I think this is a great start to a horror game. It ends a bit too suddenly to feel complete, but the music, atmosphere, and visuals are all great. I agree with some of the other comments that the walking speed is too slow. However, I wouldn't speed it up much because the slow pace helps add to the sense of growing dread. I would absolutely come back to this if there was more content!

We played your game on stream yesterday, thanks for being there with us! Here is a link to an archive of the video if you wish to see it again: https://www.youtube.be/watch?v=IQdJ_KaE1bI&t=4669s

I really really enjoyed this game! The minimalist design is really good, the story is interesting but I wanted more :smiley_cat: This feels like a good intro demo of a great game!

What's up with the jelly fish? Why is there people in the city under the sea? I'm waiting for episode 2 ^^

This was great! I loved the art style and the audio really gave the game a nice feel. I would have liked to see the monster more at the end!

Nice mood and style, especially with the audio. A little marker to let you know who you can talk to would help a lot, and yes a faster walking speed.

It does cut off a little suddenly!

Amazing concept and atmosphere, with a nice palette of colors and great sounds - makes your art-style unique for me.

Really enjoyed this game, and if i have to point some issue, must say that the movement speed gets annoying really quickly. But in overall, it's an exceletn game. Great work!

This game was absolutely amazing! The art style was super cute, especially for a horror game, and the music and atmosphere amplified the feels tenfold! I would really love to see this become more fleshed out and become an actual, full-length game! Super well done!

Its fun, I like the graphics and the atmosphere, and the audio is really good, movement is a bit slow though, it cuts off just as stuff gets interesting, I would have loved to see more!

Nice entry.

I like the visual style, color palette, use of sound and audio.

As others mentioned, the walk speed is super slow. It's not a big deal on the sub, but when we're in the temple, it gets old quick. Without trying to be mean; it comes off as a pixel-art walking simulator with long rooms for padding. I would have liked shorter rooms, or faster move speed in the temple.

I also found it odd, that there were so many people in the temple. There was only 6 beds on the sub, but every step forward was filled with people just standing around. (maybe they were all the same people from the sub?)

Def a good start, it does stop just as it gets interesting.

Good job on the entry though!

Well this surely was more of an experience than a game so far, but a good one. The very slow pacing and the sound effects really set the mood! There certainly is potential here, and I love that you certainly can't tell what it is that was chasing you. For a jam this is pretty nice and I would love to see more!
