In the name of science! by pta2002

------------STORY------------
An experiment is being made in the lab... After you are the test subject...
[10 minutes later]
The experiment went horribly wrong! You turned into a monster and you want revenge! You will need to kill the most people in the building to succeed. Can you do it?
-----------------------------

---------HOW TO PLAY---------
WASD to move!
Walk over an item to pick it up!
SPACE to attack!
Attacks will be melee if you you don't have a gun. Once you have one, you can shoot using space.
Turrets will shoot you every 1.5 seconds. You can deactivate one by doing a melee attack. Shooting one will work in the post-jam version.
Soldiers will do their best to shoot you. They shoot every 0.33 seconds. Kill one and get 20 points! They will also drop a gun.
Humans come in two forms: Scientists and citizens. The one chosen is random and there is no 'common' one. They will simply walk around and give you 10 points when killed.
Spawners (the doors) will spawn a human every 10 seconds. There is a 10% chance they will spawn a soldier instead. Be careful!
Exit signs will take you to the next level if you have enough points (the score will turn green)

Graphics could use work, but the game felt pretty solid, and it was very fun to play. Good work :D Still playing rn actually.

Fun game, with decant art the spawns were glitchy and spawned units in doors you also could be more clear on how to advance levels. it was very easy to get stuck trying to go through 1 wide gaps on level 3 also i would have preferred mouse aiming.

Great and fun game, there are a lot of bugs though.
I really like the player animations ^^

I feel like the level graphics could've been better, but these animations and particle effects are top notch. :3

I got a score of 750 up until I died on my first try, then 1350 on my second try.

I've noticed that you can get through it very easily by just standing in the top right corner of the map, since it doesn't take long to learn where people spawn (there are only two locations)

Nice game, overall. With a bit of sounds, and bugfixing it would become pretty solid. Am I the only one that thought about the hero being Hulk?

I managed to get your Python 2.7 version working on my Mac \o/

Good job on the game. It's a pretty fun concept. I wish there was sound though!

Not a bad game, but not incredibly interesting. There wasn't anything particularly new about this game to distinguish from other similar ones.

The lack of sound did hurt this a lot though. Evening having simple sound effects makes a big difference. Try using something like sxfr (there are some links on the tools page) or searching freesound for some sound effects.

Good job in making a completed game though!

I did try to get some sounds done, but I didn't have time to get used to SFXR. I fnd it rather tricky to use.

The game has a lot of bugs :(
Scientist teleporting through walls and blocked ways by soldiers for example
And I'm not really understand the door mechanics, how to open it?
But I liked your game, that was fun to play and I've got it to the 5th or 6th level I think

The animations looked nice, but that's about it sadly. As already mentioned people were spawning inside walls and glitching all around the map. Also it was really hard to enter a corridor with a height/width of one tile.

Cool. Reminded me slightly of Robotron 3000. I'd be lying if I said the game wasn't incredibly buggy though. I did make it all the way to the end!

The bugs are being fixed. I need to make a new collision algorithm and I will upload. Maybe post-jam i don't know. Also, Ivan: Read the description. There it says doors are like spawners. You can't open them.
