Oh this is really great. Tight scope, easy to understand, nice mechanics (esp. the ground wobble). Well done. That's a lotta stars from me.

Everything about this is great. The minimalist artstyle is very appealing, and works well with the game's design. The mechanics, what with all the themed layers and wobbly floor are really effective at creating an innovative platformer. The game's polish is also extremely impressive considering your time restraints. Overall, a really solid entry.

Absolutely love the visuals! Not only is the game colorful and trippy, but being able to see the next level gives you that little bit of anticipation. You can even scout ahead and prepare yourself. It turns an otherwise mostly simple game into something pretty memorable. The gameplay is mostly straightforward platforming fare, but the wobbly ground and circular levels add just a bit of a twist to keep it interesting. There's also a good mix of different obstacle types, and it's neat that you can pick the level you start on when you respawn. Overall, a unique and polished experience.

I was really hoping a page would release, because DANG I LOVE THIS. I gives me such a happy heart to see some epic games being made with GameMaker and I'm really impressed!

I gotta ask, how on earth did you make this? is it essentially a wrapped screen folded onto itself using shader magic?

Hey, you decided to upload it! The visuals are really clean and effective. Solid interpretation of the theme. I think my only criticism is that the left/right controls got confusing when fully upside down, but that is probably a matter of taste.

I've been a fan of your games since the Sun and Moon entry a few years back. Glad to see you're still doing great work!

This is a very innovative game with an insanely good art style. The levels are challenging, but not too hard. The only thing that was confusing for me was that the controls are inverted?
All in all an awesome and highly polished game!

This was amazing, I didn't think it was possible to improve on Breakers but this is a very tight experience, the sfx, the visual fx and the feedback, all ace! as always unbelievable that this was done in two days! The code behind the perturbed flor must be interesting!

Catchy art style and fun gameplay.

Frogs are especially cute!

Inverted controls at the top of the screen are tricky.

I like that every game starts on a different level!

I didn't dislike frogs before, but I do now. Who knew they'd be such jerks? I like the way the next areas are visible in the hole.

Super cool as always! Needs some music to tie it all together but I love the idea and seeing all the throw-backs to your other games is neat. Controls felt fine to me when inverted. I think the different levels could feel a bit more different, but the wobbliness is rad.

Really cool simple art style, the colors are especially good, the game is fun to play and i really appreciate how you used the theme. The game feels nice to play, and also it doesn't feel really repetitive because of the pseudo random level

The one thing that you'll need to be perfect is music : the sound effects are great, animations are great but some music would tie everything together and give a great atmosphere to the game.

I really like how each biome have their own obstacles.

And of course visually this is brilliant.

PLEASE MAKE THIS INTO A FULL ROGUELIKE GAME!! Everything about it is great! The difficulty (some enemy placements were a bit unfair and the jump should be a bit higher), the art is amazing, the controls are tight. You have done a fantastic job!!

Really cool game. I had a lot of fun with it. It's interesting that it manages to feel retro and modern at the same time. The graphics are really stunning. It's the perfect match for the theme.

I like the simple mechanics and the variety of enemies. The warping surface really changes the feel of the platforming. It all works really well.

The only trouble I had was with the controls while upside down, with directions flipping. I adapted fairly quickly but it was a little jarring at first.

Great work on it, it's a fantastic game.

Beautiful. The wobble felt really nice to exploit in order to avoid obstacles. It really grew on me, it was super enjoyable to get better and better at the game. The literal "gameplay loop" is great; superb revisitation of classic mechanics with several very smart twists. Tight scope, striking artstyle with a very nice aesthetic, very polished little game that kept my attention for way longer than I thought it had. Best I could do was 8. Brilliant piece of design to link the hazard pools to the color of the hole. An absolute joy to play, many stars were given. Keep up the incredible work.

Such a cool game! The mechanics behind this are so interesting, especially once the wobble goes outside of the circle and reveals the bigger areas to hurt you. But damn I hate those frogs...

Anyway this is a near perfect jam game and the only thing I was missing was some funky chiptune in the background.
Really well done!

Awesome game. It took me a second to understand what was happening, but I think that's exactly what a good game should have. Such a unique concept, and the trippy colors were perfectly contrasting each other to make each level feel different. Not too easy, not too difficult. Best game I've tried so far, great job!!

This game is so cool. Great adherence to theme and overall implementation. It's very fun and arcade-y, I could see myself getting this game on my phone. I would have liked to hear some background music, but I understand not being able to make music during the jam. I also maybe would have liked the camera to follow the player so that I could have made some more precise jumps, but this might not be a good change as well.

Above all, it's very technically impressive to me, as i have no idea how you'd do this. It would be cool to see a little tutorial tweet, as with the procgen of Adrenaline.

Gameplay is short and sweet, controls feel great, visuals and sound are top, polish is next level, but you already know that. I didn't understand why i died one time, until i realized the white bottom part in the red area is not a rendering issue, but a hazard (as indicated by the white color, but i only realized that retrospectively). From the gifs i also thought it was a graphical error. Just a side note.

Such a cool game, you nailed it again! I love the ground wobble and of course the mechanic of how you switch between levels. Super simple (in a good way!), polished, and easy to understand and play. I like how, while waiting for the player to start, you're constantly cycling through new levels and just throw the player into the next one. Clever!

27. Apr 2021 · 23:34 UTC
What I really like about this game is that it really challenges you in novel-ish ways. We're so used to playing platformers at this point that the challenge can be pretty rote. But you throw in a number of obstacles here that I haven't seen, even in a circular platformer. Stuff like the shifting sands that uncover dangerous things. Having to time your jump and angle is really interesting here, and it's stuff like that that really solidifies the core gameplay on top of all the other cool things.

28. Apr 2021 · 01:18 UTC
Doing the wobble effect in a circle is absolutely awesome. It makes the flat colors look 100x more interesting. The gameplay itself is overly frustrating to me, mostly because it's hard to estimate the jumping to me, but also there doesn't seem to be much progression, so I don't care too much whether I get 5 or 20 levels.

The gameplay is top notch! The wobbling works super well --- it adds a new dimension to tasks that would normally be a little less exciting in a platformer (jumping over a cactus, etc). It's polished enough to consider a finished work. You clearly know what you're doing.

Five stars on everything but Audio (I can hardly complain though because I only had time for rudimentary audio in my Jam entry. You should try it though! It's pretty fun). Anyway nice job!

This is a thigh t & polished experience! looks amazing, quite a challenge somehow, but with a nice replay loop. Ok inverted control got a bit confusing, but no way around that I think. Game is rather simple, but as a dev I am quite impressed and really do wonder how that was pulled off! Beautiful, Good job!

*Edit had left the game open in background and it eventually crashed with an out of memory error, might be a memory leak hidden somewhere. just a heads up!

Really like the experience you were trying to portray and the feedback and the art was phenomenal! I think that it was a bit tough trying to get over enemies sometimes as I personally felt that I did not have much room for mastery, probably due to a slighht lack of player agency. ORRR maybe im just terribly bad. Overall the execution and the thheme was really good. Heavily enjoyed being able to see the next level everytime.

Great visual style. I found the enemies and keys endearing. I found the wobbliness to get in the way of playing though. There's probably a way to keep the visuals without disturbing the jump-height so much. The hitboxes were a little frustrating, and I was particularly annoyed when the normal ground would dip into white (perhaps there should be some warning its there before taking damage). I think it was more fun to play fast, but on most of the levels, it was safer to play slow. I love the visuals as-is, but would like more tuning on player and enemy movement.

I love the style and that you choose which level you want to start a new game on.

The difficulty spike is quite high and early and doesn't give new players much of an opportunity to get to grips with the controls and hazzards filling the screen.

The controls are quite confusing as I was expecting them to work the other way round. The player's jump is quite short which prevented me from safely getting to specific parts of a level.

Overall a really sweet little game with great graphics and premise. I'd like to see how you'd further develop it.

I feel like it's been said, but this is a seriously fantastic entry. The scope and mechanics feel super tight, and for the most part, failures felt like my own. The art and general aesthetic are truly something else, and it's extremely rare to find an entry that achieves this level of polish! Well done!

Really great! Loved the rolling/breathing effect of the outside of the hole, being able to see future levels, etc. I'm sure it's all been said a hundred times. Amazing work!

It's a very clever game. A lot of very interesting tech went into making this. I personally found it hard to consistently judge my ability to jump of obstacles, but maybe that's intentional?

I greatly appreciate this entry if only for how clever it is.

Very original entry, the waves and jump creates interesting mechanic. I like this overall but I think the difficulty should be lowered a little bit.

Very well done! Simple but challenging. I do wish there was a little more variety in the door / key locations, and perhaps another mechanic besides running and jumping. That said, this was incredibly polished for a jam game. I could see this going further into a released game. Great job!

I'm impressed by the circular stage with wobbly floor, I have no idea how it was created but its very cool. The game is simple and easy to play in an arcade style but I wish there was some more depth to the mechanics of collecting the keys, maybe introduce puzzles like false keyes or something of the sort. The graphics are simple yet effective, amazing work for a game jam! Congrats! <3

As always another unique entry which was fun to play. Liked how you were able to pay homage to your other games and the use of the theme was interesting. Liked how each layer had a different visual look to it.

Very striking and elegant! My brain can't really deal with the 360 platforming, but it definitely kept me playing more than i thought it would!
