Yes, the game is buggy, and froze at least 3 times during my playthrough. The graphics is...simplistic. The only properly-implemented battle mechanic is bullet dodging, as `action` and `spare` menus didn't do anything I could discern. And the lack of enemy types was quite disappointing. But I feel like the game description undersells how much *charm* you were able to ooze out of all the silly dialogs the game has to offer.\n\nI certainly would like to see more time spent polishing with this game, obviously starting with the bugs and the battles. Sound effects would be a great addition, as well as visual effects like screenshakes, flashes, and particle effects. And of course, I'd like to see an actual plot and storyline develop. But what you've already got here is pretty darn amazing. So for me that only happened on exported versions of the game. It came down to using too many \"yield\" statements which are not handled in the best way by Godot 3.4, so I had to swap those out. In addition to this major bugfix, I added a balancing problem where the player had no time to prep for the bullet hell after a dialogue in the battle. I added a 0.5 second gap so the player can prep. A side effect of the bugfix is the player's health will go below zero, and then the combat will end after the attack ends. As much as I hate how it looks, it fixed the problem where losing a battle crashed the game (which looked like freezing in the HTML versions.) Overall this version should be the most \"stable\" of all. \n\nThis version of the game is titled \"TheForgottenWorld Jam Bugfix3\"\n\n# Update Oct 8th (Animations Fixed!)\nWhen I made this game I was using a custom importer for Godot that allowed me to use aseprite files directly instead of needing to export each individually. This saved me a lot of time but there are 4 different importers available and only 1 of them that I found works for me. For the previous versions I was using one that didn't work because it wouldn't set my animations to loop, and any attempt to change that was reverted as soon as I reloaded the project. In this latest bugfix I replaced the importer with one that actually works. The HTML web playable version is now updated to this animation fix version. All previous versions are still available if you feel this is going to far for what is allowed for bugfixes. \n\nThis version is \"TheForgottenWorld Jam Bugfix2\"\n\n# Update Oct 7th (Bugs Fixed!)\n\nPreviously there were a couple bugs with persistent data in the game. In addition there was a bug where certain combatants :skull: would attack even when you are in the menu and cannot dodge. The save data bug deleted every persistent object once one of them was deleted, so now there are 2 enemies in the first level (as was intended). This bugfix version is purely mechanical. Theoretically there should be no more crashes. \n\nThis version of the game is titled \"TheForgottenWorld Jam Bugfix1\". ~~The web version will automatically use this one.~~\n\n## Basic Outline\n\nThere was a fissure in the middle of town and you fell down into it. You found a strange fungal waste, some friendly creatures and some not so friendly creatures. \n\nThe web version should work just as good as desktop versions. If you're getting stutter or something maybe switch to a desktop version for better performance.\n\n## Controls\n\n### Controller\/Gamepad\nTheoretically this game has full controller compatibility. However, I was only able to test with a knock-off xbox 360 usb controller so I can't say if any controller will work. It uses Godot's built-in controller support so I'm hoping it works for you.\n\n### Mouse & Keyboard\nMovement = WASD, Arrow Keys\nInteract\/Proceed Dialogue = Z, Enter, Left Mouse Click\n\n## Theme Explanation\nI wasn't able to make as much as I would like thanks to mental instability. Therefore I followed the theme perfectly!!! (I'm doing much better now)\n\n## Inspiration\n\nThis game is mainly inspired by Undertale and Deltarune. I was hoping to iterate on mechanics from both of those games. \n\n## Future Plans\n\nI think that in its current state, this is fine for a Jam game, but I want to make it a bit more than it is now. To follow my inspiration I want to make more thematic and interesting battles, more interesting story. I will of course keep my two little lads I made.\n\n## Credits\n\nI used a lot of Kenney assets for blockouts and in the initial phases.
