I love the idea and the names in the game are hilarious, great job guys! I like the art and the sounds effects. The thing that seems a bit weird is the intro dialogue, it would've been nice to have a button to get to the next dialogue, it's not really that intuitive to click on the dialogue box. And the intro dialogue it's a bit long, but overall the game is fun to play.

@transylvanian-blacksmiths Thanks for playing! I'm glad you enjoyed it! All the balancing was very haphazard lol, also I added a skip button, hopefully this will make the game more enjoyable for folks just looking to try it out for the gameplay.

I like the pixel cats. You should have used pixels for the rest, too.

Could unfortunately not get this one to start. It looks amazing though

Kudos for the idea! I found it a bit tedious that you need to first select an attack and then the opponent, it could make the experience more smooth if the last attack was automatically selected, or if there was a quick menu for choosing the target.

I agree that the intro dialogue was a tad long. It could've been fun to cut it and have it in between battles. Fun pokemon type battle system, but it did feel like I wasn't making any real choices. Like a computer and I would've chosen all of the same moves, which takes away from the fun factor a bit. Still, the humor and fun comes pouring through!

Looks great and is totally insane. Not sure about replayability though. Also, I wasn't why, after beating my opponents one-on-one, I ended up facing a band of 3 when I only had 2?

I kinda like the overhall of the game but I didn't passed the first fight ... I never done more damage than the enemy (dodge) =/

Nice work! The concept and story was really intriguing and funny, and I found myself reading through the whole introduction and enjoying it. Loved the artwork for the cats, they're so cute on stage!

The idea of cat music battles was exciting, but the execution let me down - The HP bars were too big and there didn't seem to be a strategic way to win. I tried the first battle twice, but it felt like I lost due to random chance both times, so I didn't know what to do after that.

I'm really looking forward to knowing what happens next in the story though :).

Very funny idea, nice Art and the music is on point, very annyoing like my cat used to be when he wanted something, combat only needs a bit of balancing but overall excellent job!

edit: ok i just realized that i had the game open several times so the music overlapped and it sounded very annoying... yeah but it worked well with the game :D

Cute graphics, a little slow paced for my tastes tho, personal preference I guess. Overall good job and nice pixel art!

The beginning of the story would've been an excellent place for a tutorial so you could get a feel for all the abilities before rebuilding your band. The art was very cute, and all the cat names got me laughing to myself. The special effects were pretty. I wish there was a little more info about the attacks available to the player so that you could be more strategic ahead of time. All in all, a little slow, but fun!

I did not expect a round-based battle until it started. The musical sounds were cool, but at a certain point they became a bit annoying. Still a cool entry!

This game is really fun! Though waiting for your turn can be very slow, especially at the later stages but this is the only issue really. Great job!

Nice game. Intro a little bit long in my opinion (would probably want it to be shorter, or have different images). But the JRPG implementation was fun to play

Good art! I enjoyed the story and laughed a few times! However, the gameplay is not very exciting. It does not feel tactically interesting. (I played through the whole thing and didn't see any opportunities to use items or switch cats. Did I miss something?)

We ran out of time to add items and cat switching @reheated

Loved the humour in this one! Would've liked some more information on what the attacks did and how strong they were, but they game played nice and it was really cute ^^ Nice job!

Funny little game! It had a lot of personality and the score fit, though I did think it could have used more variation. I liked the way the character assets were presented, though I think the UI could have used a bit of work. I love turn-based battles, but the transitions into the battles were a bit confusing and I wasn't sure why anyone was fighting--it just kind of felt like the fights were there to be there. I think there's a fun, solid game at the end of this though if you continue to develop it post jam!
