``` Your name is Henry the Horse You live in a stable, of course You want to be free To explore the country So you're fleeing without remorse
Use arrows keys to move about (Controllers work too, no doubt) Yet it's no easy trip- The grass makes you slip Be cunning, you'll find a way out
The farmer will keep redesigning These pens that are used for confining Keep trying, my friend Escape into the end There you'll find your dream, ever shining ```
For extra challenge enable Wobbly Mode in the main menu!
We plan to make an Android build controlled via gyroscope but that will probably be after the deadline.
Fun but it was really frustrating to control the horse!
It felt like walking around on the deck of a sailing ship. Is that a bad thing? Neigh, I tell you!
I had fun with this! I did a horse-related one too, so kudos on the unstable joke. It took me a little while to realize that gravity was moving outside my control, but once I did, I could control the horse better. Cute graphics and music. Nice job!
"Un-stable the horse"... I see what you did there. Overall fun and challenging game! Controlling was a bit frustrating and getting stuck on the bales was even more so. Still enjoyed it though!
Trying this on wobble mode may have been a mistake. Am I right that this was a Labyrinth kind of control, where you tilt the level? It was kind of hard to tell haha
Even with the control frustrations, I quite enjoyed my time with this silly little game
@mathemagician yes, basically your controls move the gravity vector around. We initially envisioned it as a mobile game with controls based on gyroscope but didn't want to spend jam time getting the build to work. We might upload a mobile build later in the week.
There is something quite satisfying about having the cow eat they hay. Good work this was fun.
I made a horse game as well, I really had fun with this one. The rules are simple, but the different puzzles are unique and interesting. I liked the slippery floor, but for me wobble mode was a bit too drastic/random.
The most hilarious title so far! LOL The game is very cool and I will love play it on gyroscope.
This was definitely super interesting! It was an interesting process to work out how the game worked, and your comment about arrow key movement affecting gravity illuminated what I thought to be a really novel mechanic. I thought the progression of levels was also quite good, too--the difficulty pacing was appropriate, aside from perhaps a few too many find-your-ass-esque easy levels at the very start. I found the horse movement to be a bit tough to control at times (that horse really retains momentum, and don't even get me started on Wobbly Mode), and there were times when it was perhaps a bit more trivial than intended to bypass the goats. Still, it was a really cool mechanic and I had fun playing it. Respect to your level designer!
Well, you nailed the theme ;)
It was interesting the first time a new mechanic was introduced (horse controls in level one, hay, goat, cow) but the other levels in the beginning were quite similar. The later levels with the cow were a lot more fun in my opinion. The loading time between levels felt quite long.
Wonderful concept and mechanics.
I think this mechanics would fit better in discrete motion, you could make really interesting puzzles out of it.
Gyro-version sounds cool, but less goal-oriented.
But it is only my opinion.
Good work, keep up!
Love the concept here! It took a little bit to get used to the controls until I realized that they were like Super Monkey Ball, where everything moves. And there's some really interesting puzzles done with it, too!
The game feels cohesive and music, graphics and type of gameplay work really well together. I'm not sure about the physics of moving hay when moving the horse, but yeah:D
The cow is a little buggy, when you move it out of the stable, the screen gets super zoomed out and you can go places with her.
I appreciate, that you crafted a lot of levels, something that gets often neglected in game jams. The music was also well done.
The un-stable pun is really a work of art.
nice entry!
Oh, the eye movement of the horse was quite cool as well
Nice concept, the game is simple but interesting. The music is a bit repetitive but it's ok, I would have liked some sound effects (maybe when you manage to escape or when the cow eat an hay cube). I liked the un-stable joke :-D Well done!
The game is simple but it made me lose track of time. It was fun! (Wobbly mode was insane though)
Interesting idea, it was fun to play, but it lacks variety, I guess
