Unstable Stable by Flaterectomy

What are all these sheep doing in your stable? You must apply some Hind Leg Justice™ to their fuzzy little faces and get them the heck outta there!
While we've made a good number of Ludum Dare games before, they were nearly always made in LibGDX featuring 2D pixel art. Unstable Stable is our first awkward venture into Unity 3D/Blender.

:joystick: Controls/How To Play
- WASD or arrow keys to move
- SPACE to kick
- TAB or P to pause
A horse's life ain't easy, especially when sheep come and disrupt the status quo. Out the door or out the windows, you have 3 minutes and 30 seconds to return this place to the stable stable it once was. (Don't mind the battle axe.)

The audio work is very good.
My playthrough of this game was in phases:
1. Learn to move backwards and kick like crazy. While the least effective phase, it was certainly the most fun.
2. At some point I realized I could just hold down space and put my horse in a permanent planche position (lol). This was a bit more effective as I didn't have to worry about timing and the knockback force seemed to be more controllable.
3. Finally, I accidentally pushed in a sheep driving forward, and it dawned on me I could just push all the sheep into the goal much easier... I ended up doing that and won pretty easily.
I'm curious what the planned version was going to be like. I'm sure that pendulum axe was a sign of things to come.
Overall it was a fun concept that immediately interested me as soon as I got in. Hitting the sheep the way you want was challenging, but hey, all the games this jam are. Great work for using so many new tools :)
Wow, it was very awkward to get all the sheep out (and what's with the sheep sounds!), but the overall mood is fun so I persevered. I appreciated the end game art, and I liked the wheels on the horse (presumably to save animating it!)
The controls were a bit unstable too, I am not sure if that was on purpose. Sometimes the horse wouldn't rotate? It seems that I can't rotate after a kicked.
I enjoyed the music! But the sheep sound like ducks? :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
