Artstyle us stunning and I like the details like crows. But I can't move because of legs - they turn out in iher side

WTF is this game, hahaha, this is the trippiest game i have seen in this jam so far, i loved the artstyle and multitasking gameplay, i didn't really like the music, it didn't fit the game, but some music is better than no music, i loved this one

@euphelys Sorry you weren't able to move - must have hit a bug we didn't catch while playtesting. Just to get an idea of how we might be able to recreate it to potentially fix it, you said when trying to move the legs at the start, they turned inside-out?

Wow, incredibly cool artwork.

How did you manage to make it almost 1 gig unpacked?

Awesome! I loved everything about this game. The Artstyle is a beautiful trip. Even though you gave good instructions, I needed some time to get the BagaYaga going. And then I loved the mechanics and how the player had to use them. I enjoyed the look on the suns face :D. And with his legs full of arrows, he finally fund a new home.

Really good game! Artwork is fantastic, music is fitting, unique combination of mechanics that is interesting to manage. Was quite difficult to throw the jars effectively

Mind-blowing!!! I made a long trip to the Russian city but it is hard to move above buildings and towers. I'm intrigued what in the final. I will try to play more.

The art is stunning, it is incredible that you managed to pull during such a short period of time, really great job. Controls are REAAAAALY fun too. I stuck a little on the tower, but overall it plays super nicely. I would add some kind of alert when to use certain potions (at least at the beginning), because sometimes it is hard to keep track of everything. But overall - great and fun experience

Wonderful artstyle!! I loved the mechanic off moving both legs of the house independently!
One feedback is that I find pointless to stable the house with the old lady. I got in a situation that I couldn't go back. But the house didn`t fall, so I didn`t see a point to keep trying it.

@t90 that's a great question... probably due to the large number of art assets, which were imported at a pretty high definition. Thanks!

@westmave Thank you, that's very kind!

@yaroslav-kravtsov hope you get it!

@kukurammus yeah that's definitely something that we hoped to look into but didn't quite have the time. Thanks for the kind words and feedback!

@cabjhegas totally get the comment on stabilizing the house with the old lady. We did test out a few different versions from:
house can topple over
to
house has no rotation
and found that this had the best feel, but I think if we had more time it would have been cool to look into more mechanical rewards/punishments for keeping the house level/not. Thanks for the comment!

It is so trippy I really love it. The legs mechanics is great but had a hard time understanding potions and couldn't do any. Overall amazing entry

Beautifully made game! Like something out of a dream or ghibli movie! I got the chicken house legs stuck a few times, but after some wobbling about, managed to pass through! I'm not sure if you have health, but after failing to coordinate the potions, I just muscled through the village to the end. Porry birdy legs! Managed to keep them pesky crows away though!

The visual style is unique, the Russian reality is conveyed exactly  . Fun and interesting gameplay, just passed the game without potions, it is not clear in this case why they are added. Greetings from Baba Yaga's homeland. Great job!

Very funny and tricky to control. Definitely weird in a good way.
The potions don't seem to be too useful though since you can just make it by walking through everything.
Still very good job on the whole thing.

What a great art style! You've captured russian fairy tale atmosphere perfectly with this artstyle and the music! I just wish the Baba Yaga looked a little bit scarier

This has some really trippy art! It's quite beautiful! Walking around is fun in itself and controlling both the house and the person inside is a cool idea. But "combat" was a bit confusing. Having a better indication of your health would probably help already. I also liked the music quite a bit. If this was your first jam game, I'm exciting for what you will make in the future!

Great job!

@Junber Thanks a lot! You're right, we definitely have to improve the combat when we make a more polished version.
It was the first game jam for all of us, first time actually making a game for almost everyone too! I'm so happy that y'all like what we put together- super excited to participate again, what a great experience!

Very interesting game. I liked the visual style, it fits very well with the setting. Granny is very cute. The gameplay is interesting. It's cool that you need to manage both the hut and Yaga at the same time. But I did not understand how the damage will affect the hut. Overall, a very good project.

07. Oct 2021 · 14:18 UTC
@muros You're right, the hut has too many hp right now. We tried to avoid to make it too frustrating, but it ended up too easy I think. Definitely going to fix that in the next version.

Really creative game an unique art style! I can't believe you made me feel sad for gigantic talons getting hurt, I had to always heal them back up :D The dual character control scheme is very interesting as well. I had an issue where the bottle breaking sound effect has a crackle in the end which probably could be removed. Great work all around!

The art style is great reminds me of old twisted children's books and the walking mechanic is fun to wrangle. I did feel that alot of the time the house would lean forward and it was hard to re-orientate which made it difficult for the witch to move left and use objects but I never needed to use them anyway. Really wacky fun entry overall, nicely done.

An brilliant arcade. But I want more elements. The variegated style is a distraction, but the design elements look good.

This game is so, sooooo beautiful

I got stuck a few times on tree stumps and wasn't able to move the stuck leg anymore, so I had to restart a few times. This made me spend even more time looking at your georgeous artwork though!

I love the controls! I got stuck on one of the gaurd towers, but enjoyed what I saw. I didn't realize what the bell was doing at first, but after a while I saw the crows flying away and I regained balance of my house. Fun game!

11. Oct 2021 · 15:26 UTC
@bqq Thanks for the kind feedback! The bottle breaking sound is something we've noticed in the webplayer version as well, we need to look more into why porting it to HTML causes it to have these weird little sound quirks, thank you for noting it and letting us know though!

@beats Yeah, totally get that. Sometimes it's possible to right yourself with moving the legs or scaring off crows, but we really didn't billboard that very clearly, and if we had a more thorough tutorial it's something we'd like to touch on. Thank you for the input and kind words!

@ivan-nosov Thank you for the comment! We definitely had a lot more planned in terms of elements within the house, but there was a lot we had to cut back on for scope reasons.

@purrseus @salohcin894 Sorry to hear you two got stuck on some of the terrain. One thing we'll definitely be doing next jam is to allocate more time to internal playtesting to try to smooth out some of these rough edges (in some cases literally). Thank you two for the time and comments!

@ks-zealot Appreciate the feedback! Totally get the criticism, the aim with the controls was to be a *little* bit overcomplicated, but if it was frustrating or turned you off to push forward, it was probably a bit tuned too much towards the complicated side. Definitely something we'll look at for post-jam versions!

Very interesting concept! Absolutely love the visual design, really unique and well-executed. I had some control issues from time to time where the house was totally on its side and I didn't feel like I anything I did could level it out properly. I liked the music and I liked that it progressed alongside the game, but some of the loops were just a bit too short for my liking whenever I got stuck. Despite those complaints, I still had a lovely time with it and would be very interested in seeing a fuller post-jam version!

Awesome art and idea! I did have some difficulties with the gameplay, while at start the legs did move me forward after a while it just kinda didn't want to move the house forward anymore with the legs. My old lady also got stuck on the porch and I couldn't get the house level anymore. At some point she also fell out but teleported herself back inside :D
I think this could be a great game if maybe the movement of the house was easier.
