Vintage SPACE Restaurant with AI by DGSpitzer
Hello this is Vivy & DGSpitzer,
we are a small team of two~
All the game design, art and music are created in 72 hours!!!
hope you enjoy it!
The meta era starts when the spaceship becomes human habitation. You are the AI keeper working at nostalgia fast food on the “you can get all No. 757” spaceship. The unstable machines means the restaurant is in a dangerous state.. That every piece of you and your restaurant will be broken down to resources for the new high tech. To survive, you have to do something. Keep the equipment working stable and satisfy the customers.
Your goal is to feed the astronauts before they become angry. You will lose a heart if they leave without eating.

The machine is supposed to do the job automatically, but they are old and work very unstable, so you have to help them. You have to deliver food while fixing them, and mopping up the floor.

Machines at good state vs bad state
Try to keep everything working!

【HOW TO PLAY】
[WASD / Arrow Keys] - Control the AI
[SPACE] - Fix machine, grab food, deliver food

The art style is great, too. I especially like that cat sitting on the floor sweeping robot haha...
!
A nice artwork in this short time!
The graphics is really really good and I love the mechanisms
Had some Diner dash vibes and i'm loving it !
I think the waiters have some bugs that can be fixed as they jam mostly at the same time and makes the game unbalanced. Sometimes they are locked in front of a table and doesn't move, it's difficult to lose a waiter this way.
I think it's one of my favourite game of this jam ! Congratulations
Leaving that apart... it is a really fun game, cue graphics and really nice mechanics, congrats!
And one more thing. In the first two levels, I thought that I could only pass in this zone, it seemed to me that the walls were marked in orange (I marked it in the screenshot). But even when I realized that I could walk there, I hardly did it. As if for me there was a visual barrier. Possible solution: To avoid this situation with players like me, I think I could try changing the orange color to something else.

I'm not saying that I'm 100% right, but I think this is an interesting remark to level design 😊
Good worK!
This actually is a really amazing game. One of the best ones that I've played this jam.
Congratulations because your game kept me engaged from the beginning to the end with a really nice difficulty curve.
Aesthetics is really nice, both graphic and audio. Gameplay is polished and well balanced, split wisely among action you have to prioritize constantly.
You said thanks for playing, I reply thank for your submission!
The art is sweet and the music fits perfectly.
I like the fact we're not immediately thrown into the game, but there's a skippable intro with a story first, then a tutorial. However, with further levels I found it difficult to read the tips and serve customers at the same time, as there were so many of them right away! Especially due to the waiters bugging by staying next to customers' table, not doing anything (sometimes even with the 1st customer, which at later stages was really painful). This is really the only bug I've found within the game.
BTW, if you'll develop this game after LD49, with all what's happening on the scene, maybe you could add some sfx to alert the player that sth has happened? Eg. machine is broken, food/drink is ready, customer getting impatient etc? I remember DinerDash having special sounds + animations for each event, that was really helpful to keep track of what's happening.
I also appreciate you added sound/language settings, unfortunately the sound ones weren't working when I tested them.
Congrats on making such a great game, I had a lot of fun and I hope you'll develop it further!
