Brief

In Unstable: Search & Rescue you need to find the trapped surviving colonists in deep unstable caverns! There are 3 missions total.

This is a strategy game where you do not control units directly, but instead give tasks to them by clicking on your target and selecting an option directly. They will then go and perform the task if they are idle.

Your Rovers will automatically head back to a Power Relay point if they are low on power. You can build more Power Relays to expand your power range. You can also build Lights to light-up the dark caverns to find those lost Colonists.

Hope you enjoy and watch out for the unstable terrain!

Controls:

All control options are on the screen. Space Bar to move camera back to main Teleporter. Help menu can be accessed from Escape or F10. Click on rock walls, rubble or structures to get mmore information about them and their available task assignments.

Game is made using Unreal Engine. If you require the pre-reqs it is under:

ExtractLocation\Engine\Extras\Redistn-us\UE4PrereqSetup_x64.exe

Good game, for next events a good tip is to have the game online to boost feedback :)
Found controls a little confusing at first, but after a while I understand how to control everything around :)

I enjoyed that this game had a tutorial! it was a good game, it reminded me of an old school RTS, but with a little difference! Nice work!

Dang, when we first saw the screenshots, it looked like an old-school game 5 years in development haha. Nice HUD!

I got a weird bug that made my camera move in the opposite direction when I tried to move it to the lower-right part, lol. Can't really play it this way. But it looks good and very complex! looks like you guys put a lot of work on it!

Thanks for the positive feedback guys, @fiote I have been unable to reproduce the bug you have mentioned. Does it play and work if you try in windowed mode? Pressing F11 should remove the full screen.

Amazing graphics in this game! I think you did really well with this entry. Do you have any full-release games that you have made? I would love to try them out!

cool idea, you got a lot of functionality in there! A zoom out functionality would have been nice :)

Not sure if keeping the camera so close was an intentional choice to make people feel claustrophobic, but it was a little much for me I found my self having to quit during the 2nd mission due to how close it was.

overall very fun and if it had a just a little bit of zoom out on the camera I would love it!

that said I think the camera being so close really adds to the trapped underground feeling of the game!

Thanks again for the feedback! @rosymaple yes the camera being quite close was intentional to keep that underground feeling. Sorry that it was a bit much for people who do get a little claustrophobic. If we do a post jam release we may add the ability to zoom out a little bit, but not much.

@devparty we do not have any fully released games but hopefully some day soon!

Pretty good, liked the idea. Will say its annoying that the games configured as a VR title, and automatically kicked open SteamVR on me.
