Block fight by antoined73

Block Fight
Building things is fun, but destroying them is even better!
Gameplay
Go back to being a kid and playing with wooden blocks, but this time, you have a treasure to protect, and a cannon to fight with!

Build a sturdy castle to hide your treasure, then enter a shooting phase and find the weak points in the opponent's construction!

2 players mode is out !
Of course, for voting, please only consider the initial LDJAM version.

Controls
Left click to build blocks. If the indicator is green, you can build there; if it is red, another block is in the way; if it is grey, you have no more blocks of that type.
Use the mouse scroll to cycle in the available blocks. Click the mouse scroll to rotate the current block.
Hold right click and move to rotate the camera.

The building mechanics felt slick and intuitive. The visuals look great and the music really helps sell add to the fun/playful atmosphere of the game!
The only critique I have is the appearance of the ball gun (a minor issue), but the rest of the game is very well polished!
Congrats on a great entry; I'd love to see an expanded commercial version in the future! :)
We began to do a splitscreen version but didn't made it in time, maybe for next release !
I definitely would play a full version of this if you ever decide to turn this into a full game.
The only complaints I have are weird controls and that AI can't build shit, so it's a shame that 2P mode isn't there yet, but I can totally see how cool and entertaining that would be
But yeah, apart from these two issues -- a great entry all arround
Needs balance and some more features, but it's a genuinely enjoyable game, if it ever got online multiplayer I'd legit spend money to play this with some friends if there were lots of silly modes. I can see myself on VC just joking with some friends as we build pretty bases and destroy them.
My one feedback is in the current game it feels like the biggest thing is making sure to get a good hit on the exposed treasure. A hit on the pillar the treasure is standing on that just knocks it behind the base is a disaster, but if you can clip it to go to the right/left you basically win in 2-3 shots. So maybe a way to destroy the wooden blocks would be nice so it feels less like it's all about that first hit!
Reiterating what a few others have said, the damage system could use a bit of work. It took me embarrassingly long to figure out that simply destroying their base didn't help at all, I needed to find where the crystal had fallen, expose it again, and hit it directly. I spend quite a few shots just trying to tear their base down, which was satisfying on its own.
Love the personality of this one. Can't wait to see the multiplayer added to it!
