Fantastic pixel art and presentation. "Scrap god" lol. This is fun! It took me 5 deaths to figure it out. First I wasnt collelcting, then I wasnt processing it right but now I nkow what to do. I love the art and the dialogue and the controls. "what are you still doing here" I love the cute funny plot and the gameplay is great. I beat it it was fun once I figured out what to do. Nice work!

P.S. I love your youtube channel. Subscribed.

I loved the dialogs and I find it interesting that the game got easier and easier instead of harder and harder. There were long moments without any scraps, but then the dialogs popped up and saved it from getting stale.
Overall really good work, I enjoyed it!

The acceleration was a little slow in my opinion. Having said that great graphics, cutscenes and dialogs. Doesn't feel like a jam game.

Fun and great entry, thought the graphics and sfx were fantastic. Dialog was a v nice touch. I completed the game and enjoyed it all, my main critique is some kind of progress indicator to show how I was doing would have been nice.

Really enjoyed this one; I like how it does get easier as you go on, but a moment's distraction (e.g. reading the text, or aiming at something behind you) can cause a cascade of errors.
The only thing I could suggest is maybe some sort of indicator earlier where scrap might come from (e.g. some arrows pointing the approximate direction).

The art is really nice, just the right amount of effects and sounds. The dialogue makes it even more interesting and fun. You made an full story with a little game, really nice!

Wow, great game!
Love the theme and presentation, looks really cool. Dialog is real good, love it.

Personally I wish there were a little less asteroids in the beginning to get the grasp of controls. Also some explanation on how to repair the ship. But those are really minor inconveniences for a good game made in 2 days!

Thanks everyone for the kind words!

@theviraldragon The acceleration gets a bit faster already after collecting 2 scrap. The reason it's this slow at the start is because the ship is broken :)

@liam Thanks for playing my game! The sprite of the ship actually changes the more scrap you pick up, but that might be a little hard to see. It was merely a design choice I made that I didn't really want to show a number on the screen of how much scrap you have/still needed

@goldenevolution oh no, ship sprite change was great, I totally got that but I meant about the scrap you still needed. I think just an awareness of whether I'm playing a game for a few mins or 15 is nice sometimes but respect the design choice

@liam totally understandable! I could've probably integrated that in the dialogue now that I think of it. Thanks for the feedback!

@goldenevolution that would have been absolutely perfect. Thanks again for such a cool game. Might just have a little replay to appreciate that dialogue.

This looks and plays so nice. Well done. You nailed the pixel art and the athmosphere you created with it. Also the gameplay was solid. Grappling hooks ftw :leftwards_arrow_with_hook:

This is lovely! The art and dialogue are really cute and I love the quiet soundscape. Really atmospheric game. Didn't overstay its welcome either, ended right when I was starting to get bored. Great job!

Funny dialogues, you should have recorded them so it would have even better effect. Still the game is fun! And finally a space game where you don't have to shoot aliens

Good job with the game. The dialogs are great, that kept me going till the end.

Ahaha and I just got the "outro" scene while writing this. Definitely made me smile 😁

A great game! I loved the chatter between the guys and especially ending was fun. First I was really confused how to "repair" - i was waiting and nothing happened  But after i figured out what to do it was really calm and nice experience. Great pixel art, and nice chat effects... Congrats.

I really like the audio, which I thought was strange because there isn't much of it, but just the quiet thruster sounds and the dialogue sounds of them bickering set a cool atmosphere

Man! I loved the game!! The diologs, the instability of the ship when you miss the right time for repair, the art style...
Good job!

This is sooo good! The art, sound, dialog and mechanics are so polished for any game, forget the fact it was made in 48 hours. I love details like the little intro cut scene. So good!

Absolutely loved the humor, and I always love to see visual upgrades.

Cute game, and a nice little take on the theme. I would say the environment was a tiny bit lacking. And it would have been nice if the scrap had some sort of "collect me" glow about them. Sometimes they were hard to see.
Perhaps a little more danger would have worked to the benefit of the game, for example, if we were still getting chased, and we had to dodge asteroids from the front AND shots from the back?

Overall it was an enjoyable experience :)

Edit: Oh, also, I loved the little scrap minigame too!

Cool game, I liked the grab with reaction spin wheel mechanic, was fun to play and made me laugh. Good work for a Compo game!

Cute art. I liked reading the dialogue between the two inhabitants of the ship. I wish there was more scrap the collect, the pace at which it showed up was a little slow. But at least then I could listen to the two crew members berate each other!

I really found the quality of the polish to be very high! I enjoyed how it started with a little cinematic that set the tone of the game and introduced you to the story. I found the dialogue to be really funny!

Great work for 48 hours, incredibly well polished. Graphics were great and sounds were on point. Gameplay its a bit too simple but fun for a while. Only thing is theme wise not sure how it fits, is it controlling the shape, trying to stabilize it.
🎤 GoldenEvolution
05. Oct 2021 · 11:05 UTC
@digitaldude555 Thank you! The theme unstable is both because the ship is unstable and the relationship between the pilot and engineer is starting to get unstable, because of the situation :)

Lovely pixel art and nice particles. The texts are funny but sometimes hard to read when I concentrate on the ship. The universe is also really dark.
🎤 GoldenEvolution
05. Oct 2021 · 11:50 UTC
@bauke-regnerus the text is supposed to be distracting haha, as the engineer and the pilot are also distracting each other with it

I really liked this! Great little cinematic intro, and introduction to the controls. Game was easy to pick up and play quickly. The conversations between the pilots were charming. I was determined to beat the game and I did! :) Great job overall and I'd love to see more of your entries in the future.

Great game with funny dialogue! Feels a bit empty and slow when floating around though, I'd like to see some more interactivity, for example being able to shoot the asteroids would be fun.
