Unstable POTions by owca
Unstable POTions is a game about brewing potions. - mix potions according to incoming customer* demands - make sure to follow the recipe or something might go BOOM! - stir the pots to keep the mixtures stable - submit your score to online leaderboard and compare your result with other people
*there is only one customer and he's rather quiet (48h was not enough )

How to play:
- observe orders on top left corner
- prepare potions using recipies on the wall
- put ingrediens in correct order to the pot
- you can use from 1 to 3 pots - it's up to you
- collect potion using empty bottle from the upper shelf
- if the potion in the bottle has multiple color it means something was not mixed correctly
- sell the potion to the client by clicking on him
- if a mixture starts to boil use the laddle/spoon
- if you made a mistake you can use white ingedient to neutralize (reset) mixture in a pot
- some potions require other potions as ingredients - you can use empty pot to temporarily store a potion
Final thougths
- I underestimated complexity of this game and I didn't finish everything I wanted
- I'm happy I managed to create some music - it's simple but better than nothing like on the last LD
- I'm satisfied that I managed to integrate with external leaderboard system (written by me :nerd:)
- It was fun!
- I want to slee....

I would find it cool if the pots were also displaying the color of the potion you just made, I think for now it stays with the rainbow, even when a recipe's complete
Too hard to make anythink... so I started throwing buttles at customer. Love explosions!
I'm a bit suprised that the game turned out so difficult. It could definately use some difficulty balancing but I was out of time. The [previous jam](https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/48/nail-it) was a piece of cake comparing this one. I was working until the last minutes to finish as much as I could.
@erikengineengineer I must admit that Overcooked was one of my inspirations
@romfactory Exploding customers was next point on my TODO list before I ran out of time
@mborecki I will consider renaming the game
@pinkemma thanks for noticing that - one of the reasons for adding bottle-marks was for players with color-blindness
@zimny11 thanks for noticing the music. It was one of my personal chellanges after last jam.
It's quite the graphic work you put here, it really makes the game shine.
The mechanics are easy to understand, but a bit tricky when you actually play. I liked it.
Good job on developing this game!
The effects and colors looked really good, the explosion felt a little out of place.
The sounds were good and the music had a nice vibe.
Overall a cool game.
The gameplay is addictive, and man this really shows how much a scoreboard adds to a game's replayability.
Had a very nice time overall !
oh yeah and first thing I tried was giving the client the X potion and he exploded
One thing that was not clear to me was how much points you get for each potion. I wondered if it's worth it to go for the ones that have other potions as ingredients. Yet during preparation I did not have the time to also look at the score increase.
Anyway, thanks a lot for making this :)
Regarding understanding the rules it's probably because of lack of a proper tutorial.
I noted those 2 topics on my "lessons learned" notes and I will try to focus on them next time.
@runuchok I must say I feel like an idiot right now :face_palm: I've added those symbols with color-blindess in mind but for some reason i didn't thought about the final potions. I will keep that in mind. Thanks for your feedback
