Circle 7 by RustBaron

You reside in the seventh circle of your android hell. Cut your way through foes to remain stable.
This is a fast-paced, melee platformer where you are constantly losing stability and the only way to get it back is to deal damage. You have a fast attack and a powerful heavy attack, and you can parry enemy attacks to gain a damage boost and reflect projectiles back.

=====
Controls * Move: A/D * Jump: W/Space * Light attack: left click * Heavy attack: shift / middle click * Parry: right click
Tips * Press parry just before an enemy attack. * You can parry both melee and projectiles. * Successfully parrying slows down time and gives a short damage boost. * Combine light and heavy attacks to most quickly kill enemies.

the glitch effects look nice and compliment the mood/atmosphere of the game very well; the music does this too and is a banger on top of that
Completely agreed about the jump speed, @lakrits @real-flamingicecubegames @tigerfinch . I must have got too used to the physics during development, but playing it back now it's pretty ridiculous. Also a shame it felt too easy, have been burnt by making games too hard before, but clearly tuned it too far the other way this time.
@bootak Glad you enjoyed it! Don't worry, the game is meant to be a "hell loop" of sorts, so there's no exit beyond looping to the start.
I would have liked to experiment more with the reflect ability since it's neat, maybe through different enemy fire patterns? I couldn't detect any feedback for when you can't block anymore. The heavy attack is super satisfying even if it's a little clunky with the wind up.
The enemies have great telegraphs with the sound and audio for their attacks.
I tried to do some sword based type combat in a game jam before and totally failed so congrats on making something interesting to play with and moody.
Good job on making the difficulty pretty forgiving. It's fairly easy to over tune during a jam (or.. any time)
