Helico Pter by 3LSTMsInATrenchcoat

Etymologically speaking, the word "helicopter" is best understood not as "heli-copter," but rather "helico-pter."
Anyways, here's a game about landing a wobbly (unstable?) helicopter in increasingly perilous (and unstable?) conditions.
Controls
up/W: Activate rotor
left/right or A/D: Rotate helicopter
Objective
It's basically Lunar Lander, but with more level design.
Pick up passengers (marked by a flag) and return them to your starting point (also marked by a flag). Be careful to land flat (relative to the surface you're landing on) and very slowly, and don't let the body of the helicopter hit any obstacles.
Try to beat my best time of 3:21.43!
Other Details
You can also press i to toggle invincibility, and press c to toggle visibility of the speed run timer.
Engine is Godot, art made primarily in Aseprite. Sound effects made using JFXR. The font for the speed run timer is Press Start P2.

The controls were really great! It gave an extremely unstable feel :D I agree with others that landing is extremely hard, and maybe it would have been better if you did not have to go this slow.
The levels were really cool as well! The last one I finished was the one where you saved those people on a sinking boat. I thought that was nice. It felt like a non-explicit story :)
Reall great job! I enjoyed this one a lot!
Looking at all the comments so far, it definitely seems like I should have loosened up the landing requirements a bit (I wanted it to be pretty challenging, but of course I'd also like for people to be able to see the entire game!).
Very unforgiving but compelling enough that I played it all the way through.
I suppose "Lunar Lander, but with more level design" is accurate, but it sells the game short, I think. The level design is fantastic and adds so much to the game.
The controls are responsive, the art work is lovely, and the sound works well. I'm not sure if it would work better with music, or if the silence helps keep the sense of tension you get when attempting a dangerous turn or a tricky landing.
The speed-tun timer is also a clever addition. I wasn't trying to speed-run the game, but I feel like it was still subtly goading me onward nonetheless.
Even the source code is very concise and easy to understand for something made under these time constraints. But do I feel compelled to point out that most nodes in Godot (everything under `Node2D`, at least) [already have a `show` method](https://docs.godotengine.org/en/stable/classes/class_canvasitem.html?highlight=show#class-canvasitem-method-show).
Very fun game though. You can feel yourself mastering the game very quickly and it doesn't take long before you pull off a sick move or 2. I realllly like the addition of moving stages to the formula. It really added a ton to the usual Lunar Lander formula. Not only that, but you have a pretty good sense of level design. Not just in the layout of the levels, but also the theming which added even more to the flavor.
What was the lava stage supposed to be though? It was kinda a monster but looked more like rocks?
I think I only died once or twice on the 3:21 run. (I've also improved my time since then, but I'm not keeping super good track.)
One last note: I always write down honest review, because everybody need that, not just nice craps with some bullshit, but sometime I will aperceite very good games. So if this review insult you, but use it well :) Anyway every game is counting so :)
I like that it is difficult! and I love that you put the 'i'-feature in the game xD
Thank you!
* Holy shit flying a helicopter is difficult
* Holy shit landing a helicopter is difficult
* I should not be a helicopter pilot.
Great game!
I couldn't beat your record though!
Спасибо за игру ^_^
EDIT after seeing the note about "I" for invincibility I got to see the whole game. Love it! This has been my favorite game so far.
Awesome job!
