Raiders of the lost gems by Domantas

[raw]
made by Domantas for Ludum Dare 49 (COMPO)

Play as a brave little adventurer and collect all the gems to obtain the trophy in this tiny puzzle game!

The egg at the end is reachable! But the solution to obtaining it is a bit more difficult than the levels themselves. If you are completely stumped and still want to see the solution, here's a video showing how to reach it: https://streamable.com/ixvocn

Cool little puzzle game with interesting mechanics...nice work with the isometric view. The grappling hook sound gets a little grating after while with its high pitch. Great job though.

Some neat little puzzles. I didnt like the movement at first; felt quite clunky but then once I realised it is effectively a turn based thing it was easier to pick my way through delicate parts.
Solid game!

Oh yeah! Crunchy pixel art, tight controls, good puzzle design... this is my jam.

I got to level 20 but couldn't do that one. Maybe my brain is fried from LD, or perhaps I'm just dumb. It's late... I'll try it again tomorrow.

This is a really solid entry, though. If I had one criticism it might be that the player sprite has no outline but everything else does, so he gets lost a bit. Also a lighter background would make the blocks' outlines show up better. But that's super minor, and I'm only mentioning it because there's nothing more substantial to criticize. The graphics are already really nice and legible.

And I like that rotated not-quite-isometric projection you're using. You don't see it a lot and it looks great.

Oh, also, the effect when changing levels is really nice. I like it when LD games have little bits of polish like that.

Some of lvl20+ puzzles got me good! But i managed to collect all gems, but sadly didn't get how to obtain egg(( Great puzzle design! Suitable graphics! Had fun playing this one!

It's a very nice and very polished puzzle game, all of the mechanics are gradually introduced, and closer to the end game starts to show some challenge. The only issue I encountered is that character gains a little bit to much momentum for such precise game.

This is the longest ive spent on a game here. Bravo! Puzzles were excellent.

I got every gem, but am I missing something about the egg? Heartbreaking that I cant seem to get it. Great job!!

Great puzzle design, fun mechanics, cute graphics, just amazing! Only thing I can think of that would improve it would be some music. Very impressed with how polished it is too :D

Really terrific work on the graphics and puzzles. I especially liked the polish with the level transitions. The trick to get the egg was hard to notice, so I wasn't able to figure it out without the spoiler. The sound effects were a bit harsh, which is often the case with sfxr and no mastering, but great job overall.

Nice game. Lots of level which is impressive as normally the most difficult thing to design for puzzle games. Had a lot of fun with this, enough to actually complete it. Good job on the entry

A very polished puzzler! I got stuck on level 20, but I might revisit this later just to finish. Graphics are very consistent, and the audio effects tie everything together nicely (- but as someone else mentioned, the grappling hook sound is a bit harsh/annoying). Well done!

Really well done and I had to play through the entire thing. That was a nice amount of puzzle for such a short amount of time. Excellent entry and a lot of fun!

Very well done unstable puzzler! I feel really smart because I solved all the levels, but couldn't figure out the egg. Your trick there was very well done and I salute you for your trickiness!
The amount of mechanics needed and their rate of introduction was very well done. All in all this worked very nicely!

What a great puzzle game. Had a lot of fun trying to reach the egg and was only able to get with a small hint from the solution video. The graphics are great, and I really liked how the puzzle concepts gradually built on top of each other. Great stuff!

Ha, I went back and beat level 20 and the whole game :) I think level 20 is much harder than 21-23. And the level 24 egg puzzle is brilliant! Great mechanic. Thanks for this wonderful puzzler!

Nice little puzzle, took a while before it started getting a little tricky (level 17) so although it was good to introduce mechanics one at a time maybe could have combined them in the early levels. Also the pickup sound effect is not gentle on the ears.

The way to get the egg at the end was brilliant, I didn't think about the fact that part of the old level remains and could be used.

Really cool puzzle. We were thinking about something similar but we weren't sure whether there would be enough mechanics to make it interesting. The game was very intuitive, it was clear what are you supposed to do and the mechanics were also very easy to understand. Great job!

Hmm, is there a way to get that egg thing at the end? It didn't seem like it but I wasn't sure. I enjoyed the mechanics, and levels. There were a few levels that got me thinking a bit, the rest were fairly straight forward. Maybe another mechanic could add variety.

Great puzzle game! Amount of levels and exploration of mechanics is really impressive. Great difficulty curve too. Visuals were pretty nice, audio got a bit grating. But great job overall!

Hey there, i had a blast playing it. I think i didn't spend that much time on any other game her at ldjam, except mine  The puzzles are built very well. Mechanics are working flawlessly and nice together. Regarding the graphics, yes they are working but i'd suggest you have a look into spritestacking, then you can even rotate your map with roughly the same aestatics (i have done this in my game for the first time, really nice effect).

Excellent puzzle game with a ton of polish! Letting people progress without getting all gems was great, and the learning curve was nice and gentle. The sprite graphics were spot on. Only minus would be that a bit of music would have been great, and maybe a bit of story. But I am def not complaning. :)

Excellent game, especially for a compo ! The only thing that bothered me is the sound, the biiip is kinda annoying. Other than that everything is super well done. The easter egg is really well thought (couldn't find it, but I didn't fell frustrated after checking the solution. It's hard but fair). That's top quality compo game right there :)

Very sizable puzzle game especially as a compo entry, the hook was mechanically interesting, I also appreciated the way the perspective was not completely isometric so you could tell which way to move. Not entirely sure how it relates to the theme, but a great entry overall.

Great game! Just finished it whole. A lot of nice and interesting mechanics and nice art style! What is that brown drop at the end? I cannot find a way to get it. I'm guessing the title is based on "Indiana Jones: Raiders of the Lost Ark" :)

This was a really lovely puzzle game! I loved how you slowly introduced new concepts and the later puzzles were really well thought out and made great use of the mechanics. Is there actually a way to get the egg at the end?
