THE JANITOR by Bougalu

On a 5-year space flight to an unexplored planet, and unknown error occurs causing every systemin the entire ship to malfunction and become Unstable (he he see what i did there). Unfortunately the entire crew remains in cryosleep, except for you, the ship's Janitor. It's your job to repair all of the ship's systems before it explodes. You have 10 minutes.

You have to move around a spaceship in a 2d-platformer, completing the given task (in the top left corner) before the time runs out. There are 9 tasks in total, the order you must complete them in is randomized every time you play.

and yes, making a pizza is necessary for the ship to not blow up.

This was my first game jam, so I tried to make a fairly simple game. I had a lot of fun doing it. I didn't have time to add sound (because I don't really know how to make sound effects and music).

Thanks for playing :)

Was a nice looking game. Could jump into a slope ceiling to glitch slightly. Was fairly quick game to play with not much replayability. But I think it was well put togethet overall just needed some music and sounds to sell the atmosphere.

Hey Bougalu, I think I found a bug... I was fixing the reactor, and the end I needed to press the X button, but doing so opens the map and the reactor ends up still unstable.
Anyway, good job for your first game jam game! I hope you found participating fun!

I really liked the art. Jumping around with the low gravity was also quite fun. I think the player could have moved faster horizontally though. Maybe only slow the player down when they hold something?

The visuals are really nice. As already said a bit faster horizontal movement would be really nice, because those long corridors took way much time to traverse. Completing tasks is kinda confusing, there's not much happening when you finish, some kind of visual marker would be nice. I was also confused by the fact I could do random tasks other then current. Anyway, this is a great result for the first game! Keep it up!
