MindScape by David price
MindScape is a game where you are fighting to stabilize an unstable mind!

Your health is the the health of the mind; as you play the mindscape is slowly eaten away around you. From these eaten away areas, creatures will spawn and attack you. - If you are hit, then the MindScape takes a hit and more disappears! - If you take out the creatures, the MindScape will begin to stabilize.
Controls
- WSAD to move the character.
- Mouse will aim the cursor.
- Left click to Fire. (hold)
- M for menu.
Assets
All of the assets are mostly standard geometry (Cubes). The only assets used are in-engine assets (notably the terrifying gun shot sound...) and the Character model was very quickly make in Blender. The one animation I manage to achieve was done in UE5 sequence editor, and the dissolving material was made in engine using colours and the inbuilt noise.
Dev note
I hope you enjoy playing! It has been noted the sound effects are quite startling; I apologies if this makes you jump

As for feedback, the shooting SFX is very jarring, at least adjust the volume a little. And SteamVR keeps opening when running the game, which you can avoid by disabling the SteamVR plugin in unreal.

For your first LD jam, this is a great entry. You completed something, and other people can play it! Sounds like you're already planning to practice your time management, which has me really excited to see what you'll bring next jam. Good work!
But Nice Game Overall.
On my second try, though, I managed to stabilize the mind.
The game is very short and plays relatively well. Although, I think that it would be better to introduce some gun overheat, need to reload, innocent bystanders that you shouldn't shoot or something similar to prevent the player from just holding LMB and spraying bullets indiscriminately everywhere. Otherwise, you just sort of spray and pray  However - it is fun to just run and gun.
I would also change the aim reticle to some brighter color to make it better visible.
In this state the game is not very challenging, but I would develop it further. I'm pretty sure there are many cool mechanics still to be discovered in that idea
