Plundering Boy by HaaYaargh

Plundering Boy is a wacky and humour filled arcade game where you need to plunder the riches of a freshly captured ship. What stays in your way are huge waves, pesky seagulls, unsecured cargo and your unsteady hands.
Help your crew to plunder that booty, dodge crates and run away from seagulls. Hopefully, the Captain will be pleased...
The game was created during Ludum Dare 49 Game Jam with a theme Unstable

hello to gunter from adventure time
funny game
I had fun playing your game. Much better than looting ships in Assassin's Creed Odyssey.
Kudos for a pirate theme!
The idea is really cool, I haven't seen anything like it in the jam. You incorporated the theme in multiple different ways which was nice to see. Great idea to have the items lose value each time you dropped it (instead of, for example, breaking. Which would have been a lot more frustrating and made the entire experience a lot less pleasant).
The singing before you go to plunder, which turns into the instrumental version when you board the ship was an awesome little detail which I appreciated a lot. Shame that I can't rate you on Audio!
Seaguls... the damn seaguls! There was a lot of humor in this game for sure :)
Sorry it was a bit laggy in the first half. I really enjoyed this one, though! A very unique idea executed with just the right amount of silliness
I struggled a bit at first to know how to get started, I'd gone through the tutorial screens but then totally forgotten as soon as I started - I think some in-game prompts (maybe on screen controls) would be really helpful instead of putting it all before you start.
Other than that, I thought this was a pretty funny game, especially the audio (which I can see why you've opted out of) but I think that's still worth points overall and for humour too. Great job!
(now excuse me while I go stare at the horizon for a bit)
