Go Dots by Arakade

Is this society balanced? A tiny simulation experiment as a first use of the Godot game engine.

(UNFINISHED)

A friend and myself decided to use this LD as opportunity to investigate Godot! He fancied modelling a social experiment to see if you could create a ‘stable’ society (whereas it will generally tend to be unstable ! :drum: )

The little dots have desires and "personality" attributes. Their experiences in the world shape them and their personalities change (and/or they die).

Is there a balance of traits that help the society last longer?

(UNFINISHED) So, yeah, it's not much game. It is a little simulation. You're supposed to click the Dots to edit their attributes with the goal of the game being tweaking to make a stable society.

Sadly we had lots of trouble with Godot resulting in my friend being unable to work on the project at all.

Let us know your thoughts on the idea. With some positive feedback, we might try to push it forward a bit more... assuming we can get his Godot go-ing! :drum:

Cheers!

Reminds me of a mix between game of life and "a place to sit". In practice it's very difficult to get a grasp of what's working and not in terms of personality traits because of the lack of UI so I didn't try my hardest I'm not gonna lie... but it's got potential if you can add some kind of feedbacks/differenciate the dots in some way. Also congrats on your first project using Godot that's the way forward for sure :D !
