An's Table is a bullet hell food delivery game where you (An) have to satisfy angry gangster customers that came to your restaurant. Mysterious enemies are there to ruin your day and progressing with the service will eventually make things... unstable.

Michele Leva - Programming

Iacopo Regoli - Programming, Art

Jacopo Perrone - Soundtrack

Instructions:

The objective of the game is to survive as much as you can, keeping the customers satisfied, and killing meatball monsters.

Touch the table to start the game!

HINT: The dish pile can act as a flail if it has enough momentum (and enough plates...)

WASD to move.

Left mouse click to throw dishes to customers. It won't fill them up, but you can calm their temper.

Right mouse click to use the shotgun, one bullet is enough to kill each enemy! Shotgun is also used to propel yourself.

The number of dishes you hold is also your health bar, don't get hit without holding any plate.

Customers will only accept the dish they want at the moment, indicated next to them. Touch the customer to deliver the dish on top of the pile you are holding.

5 plates fill a customer, customers stack their eaten plates on the table, under their gun.

If customers are not fed they become angry and fill their gun with bullets, after 5 bullets customers will shoot you, calm them down.

Full customers will leave, and drop ammo.

I really like the idea of combining a traditional bullet hell game with the restaurant theme and gameplay! I couldn't quite figure out the feeding mechanism, but otherwise the controls seemed solid. Keep it up!

I really like the concept but unfortunatly there isn't that much player feedback. Things happen on the screen and are is really difficult to understand what is happening. Here some point of tought:
1. Do you need to feed a specific food to the guys at the table? If i feed them other food does it make it angry? Or is a good thing?
2. The floor, font and text color make a huge impact on the eyes and it's hard to understand what is happening some times
3. The whole unstable machanic it's a bit bugged, plates don't really fall unless you really try hard to make them fall.

On the other hand i think the concept and music are funny. I think it could have been a better game with more time and resources

Thank you for your feedback!
1. You need to feed the specific food he asks for next to him, our UI is not that great at this time unfortunately.. You cannot feed other food to customers, throwing dishes will only calm them down
2. Thanks, we will work on the palette :D
3. Plates don't fall, they are just unstable, if you swing them with enough force they deflect bullets!

I enjoyed playing it! Bullet hell meets time management, genius! Some satisfying feedback when you deliver would've been nice, like a sound that plays when you deliver the food. Good job!

Really interesting combination of themes, enjoyed the gameplay but I felt like it was missing some feedback (understandable since its a game jam game). It's a good entry and you should be proud of it!

A very good base for creating a trending casual game. Very fun

Chaotic. Not easy to control (Note: I normally play with controller and I am not used to mouse, WASD).
I like your graphics style overall. A lot of things happening.
Very difficult, as one bullet kills.
Nice idea!

Unique and interesting take on the theme! Could have used some sound effects for player feedback, as I wasn't sure at first if my customers had received food. If you keep working on this, I'd embrace the chaos and have more particle and sound effects for the bullets. But great concept of balancing customer satisfaction with defense. Lot of potential here, and great job getting done what you did for a jam! It's an accomplishment!

Need add some feedback sound or UI when you feed the customer, sometimes player will stuck on someplace and cannot move. Maybe enemy attack can damage to the plates not the player. Overall it's fun to play, good job!

@shores @thorpalsson @pixelydian @yikescloud Thank you! Sadly we didn't manage time well enough to fit the feedback and sounds... it was a mistake, but I feel we are learning a lot from this experience

@darthwaxus Greetings Un :D We were thinking about including a short in-game tutorial

@tayl1r Thanks! What kind of collateral damage were you picturing?

@itzemii I think we can easily extend the controls to support gamepads, thank you!

@evileptic Thanks :) ! Would you like to share some ideas or advice with us?

Thanks to everyone for your feedback, it is our first Jam and we are really glad we attempted it. We are still working on it and wish to publish a post-jam version, if you're interested, stick around :)
