Blast Mine Catcher by 3amsoda

[raw]
made by 3amsoda for Ludum Dare 49 (COMPO)

Make it back up to the top of the mine, if too many explosives go off you will be caved in so make sure to catch them before they hit the ground.

Game is about 1 minute long, enjoy!

Hey nice idea. one thing that you could improve is that it's not possible to press jump when walking left at the same time. That makes the game quite hard.
Also the jump physic could be improved to feel smoother I think.

@dekajoo I was able to fix the walking left bug thanks for letting me know before the compo ends!

Nice this time I managed to finish the game, much more enjoyable!
I like the lemming look of the character 😁

I love it, I just love it! Please give me more to play! I need more levels, this is such a simple yet good game idea! The fact that I need to memorize where the bombs will fall gives me a Super Mario Bros vibe when playing your game. I need more, though I sighed in relief the same as the miner when I managed to get on top.
Pls more!

Very nice idea. The player need to collect the explosive in the mid air. This creates different experience than finding collections on fixed locations.

Tried over 20 times and finally beat which feels so satisfied! I like the difficulty of your game. Introduction by dialogue is also nice.

Nice little game, which was a little hard for my skills but fun overall!
The dialogs are adding a bit to the mood too which is good.
Well done!

Wow that was a lot of fun! I was trying to go as fast as possible, but had to slow down to complete it!

Game with an interesting proposal. I liked the controls and the gameplay in general. It's nice to prevent the cave's stability from decreasing with platform elements, while the scenery gets distorted.

The graphics are nice and interesting. The sound is good, but I think it's at a very high volume, which I didn't like a little at times.

But in general I consider it an excellent job. Congratulations.

Fun! Does seem like there's a defined "best" way to beat the game which hurts replayability, but it's really nice especially for a one-day game! Good work!

Very nice game! Great graphics and audio! I wish there was more of it!

I played it and recorded it during my stream. Unfortunately I was using new software and didn’t check if everything was ok so it recorded like 2/3 of my screen  I saved recordings of games where you could still understand what’s going on. And your's is on the list. I hope it will still be helpful to see how first-time player interacts with your game
