Oh no! The meowgician is in trouble, his castle is shaking and he needs to stabilize his magic cauldron!

Control the meowgician with the arrows keys and select the items with enter or space, try to put the correct potions in the cauldron.

Fun game! The first time I tried the spiders weren't spawning, but I retried and the game worked really well. I like the rumbling moving around the tables and areas you get ingredients

Very cool pixel art, a gameplay that is based on simple bases, very effective animations, very nice work to you!

Wonderful pixel art and animation! I wish the cat would have moved a little faster, and maybe it would be good if it displayed how much time was left. Oh also having the music speed up really added to the frantic nature of things, great touch!

Really funny and not stable. It's a pity that you can't move the tables. Really good job!

@t-c Thanks! The spider only appears after unlocking the tables that requires them, maybe that's why it didn't spawn? We will investigate ;)

@t-c Fixed, the spider was affected by the earthquakes and could move outside the screen.

Fun game! Love how it guides you through the gameplay without the need for a tutorial! Graphics are cute but maybe a little more contrast on some darker parts would have helped pop it more, congrats!!

Very fun game, I like the sprites and when the earthquakes? happen and the whole room moves I thought that was a really innovative mechanic. <3 for spiders always

A cat that makes a potion and lives in a swaying tower. It has everything to work out... or not. LOL

Love the idea. It has everything to be taken forward and become a commercial game with more challenging challenges.

Congratulations!

I love the cat magician look at him go, played to the end very good primary gameplay loop, incredibly clear direction on what to do, short experience that didn't overstay itself, stuck to the theme like glue with multiple types of instablity in the game, and it's a cat magician he so cute.

It was fun - got the four potions with my second try. I try to list some good and less good things:

Good:

The soundtrack was really well used. The speeding up really made you feel a sense of urgency with the brewing. I know you dropped out of audio because of not making it yourselves but knowing how to use it well is a good skill to have.

The overall game idea and goofy style really fits the gameplay ( your a meowgician after all).

And also the game has many cute details like the ravens and fishs animation and the cats walk cycle.

Less Good:

The theme could have a bigger impact on the gameplay. Like relying on the 'earthquakes' to craft something for example as right now they are only for visual flavor.

And one thing that could really help the games overall visual quality is keeping to a consistent pixel size. All the sprites look good on their own but some bite each other because of the different resolution. Sticking to one for the whole game is usually the better approach (imo) for pixelart.

TLDR: Good stuff - like the cuteness and details - could be even better with some minor improvements

This is a really nice take on the theme, and the brewing/time management mechanic is quite fun

I have made the kittengician restore his powers!

Pros:

- Cute graphics, I love the little cat!
- Very good interactions with items and other characters
- Clear visuals on the goal
- Funky shakes of the screen are cool as well
- A nice variety of recipies
- Properly scoped difficulty, enough challenge but no to rushy
- Good addition to music changing with the pace of the game

Cons:

- Would be nice to have a tutorial in-game instead of reading stuff from the page
- The 'screen shake' seems like an ad-hoc thing rather than actual gameplay braker. It has no clear connection to why is it happening. I kinda assume it's due to the potions 'mixing' in the pot.

Great job! I had much fun! Meow!

Very nice game, I really liked planning an optimal route! The music speeding up works really well to communicate a sense of urgency. On my second playthrough I noticed you can leave objects laying around to be used in later rounds which makes the game easier, just saying in case it wasn't intended :D Really cute art as well, I really like the animated props!

Cool game, short and sweet. Well presented and fun. The music speeding up and the tilting, sometimes making it difficult to move, really contribute to the sense of urgency. Figuring out what to do is definitely part of the fun.

The character is so cute! I loved how intense it felt near the end when I was scrambling to finish off that last potion, the music set the perfect mood. Introducing the different potion types/ingredients sequentially worked well to teach the mechanics without the need for a tutorial, and would lead really nicely into future levels if you choose to continue working on this.
